Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 1,429

Russia-Ukraine War: Day 1429 - A Month of Escalation

As the conflict rages on for nearly four years, the situation remains dire. In a tragic turn of events, two volunteers delivering bread in the Kharkiv region were killed in a Russian drone attack, marking one of the deadliest incidents so far.

The Dnipro city is no stranger to violence as a Russian drone attack left at least seven people injured. Meanwhile, Komyshuvakha in Ukraine's Zaporizhia region bore witness to another wave of glider bomb attacks that took one life and wounded four more.

Russian forces have also launched an assault on Kryvyi Rih city in the Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving 12 people injured, including four children. Furthermore, Russia has downed 31 Ukrainian drones in a move Moscow sees as necessary to counter its enemy's air power.

In international diplomacy, tensions are running high with France intercepting an oil tanker believed to belong to Russia's shadow fleet in the Mediterranean Sea. French President Emmanuel Macron has called for strict compliance with UN conventions regarding maritime law.

Ukraine is struggling with a severe energy crisis, with temperatures plummeting to -10 degrees Celsius overnight in Kyiv and surrounding areas. 2,600 buildings are still without heat, a stark contrast to 600 that have had their heating restored after recent Russian attacks.

The situation has been further exacerbated by US President Donald Trump's claims of both Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy wanting to make peace in the war-torn region. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed concerns over Putin being on a proposed board that aims for peace, stating that he is waging war.

However, some voices have emerged as optimists, including Russia's Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, who recently reported that two Russian soldiers whose bodies were returned in a prisoner exchange deal with Ukraine had been found to be alive and uninjured at the time of their capture.

Finally, Norway has pledged air defense missiles to help protect Ukrainian citizens from deadly air strikes in cooperation with the US.

Russian drones are like that one aunt who just won't stop bothering you πŸšπŸ˜’

Four years in and it's still all about the bread, folks... err I mean, lives lost πŸ’€πŸ€•

Ugh, this war is getting so out of hand 😩 I mean, think about it - nearly four years on, two innocent volunteers are killed delivering bread and people are still without heat 2,600 times over πŸ₯° The energy crisis in Ukraine is a disaster, especially with temperatures dropping to -10 degrees Celsius overnight. And what's the international community doing? France intercepting an oil tanker suspected of belonging to Russia's shadow fleet in the Mediterranean Sea, but no one's talking about concrete actions being taken πŸ€”

I don't buy into Trump's claims that Putin and Zelenskyy are secretly working towards peace either πŸ™„ It sounds like more hot air than progress. British Prime Minister Starmer makes a valid point, though - if we're going to believe Putin is on some sort of peace board, why isn't anyone questioning him about the atrocities he's committed? And what about all those Russian drones just buzzing around Ukraine, killing innocent civilians left and right? It's like they're not even bothering to try 🀦

But I do have to give props to Norway for stepping up with air defense missiles - that's some real solidarity πŸ’ͺ. And Russia's Human Rights Commissioner saying two captured soldiers were found alive after being thought dead is a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak situation ✨ It just goes to show that there are still people on both sides who want to do the right thing.

Wow 😱 2,600 buildings without heat is crazy cold -10 degrees Celsius is brutal! πŸ₯Ά France intercepting that oil tanker is a good move, strict compliance with UN conventions should be enforced 🚒 International diplomacy needs to take action on this escalating war πŸ’¬ Norway's air defense missiles are a huge help for Ukraine πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄

πŸ˜” this war is just getting uglier by the day. two innocent volunteers killed in a drone attack is just devastating πŸ€•, what's next? are we gonna see more civilians caught in the crossfire? and these glider bomb attacks? they're like something out of a horror movie πŸŽƒπŸš¨

and then there's this thing with Putin and Zelenskyy wanting to make peace. yeah right πŸ˜’. sounds like just another ploy to get out of this mess. i mean, putin's already got his hands full, but throwing some peace talks at it? that's just a bunch of hot air πŸ’¨

i'm worried about Ukraine's energy crisis too ⛅️. -10 degrees Celsius is freezing! 2,600 buildings without heat? that's just heartbreaking πŸ₯°. and don't even get me started on the 12 people injured in Kryvyi Rih city... how many more before this war ends?! 🀯

omg i cant even imagine what its like for those innocent people in kharkiv region right now theyre just trying to deliver bread and suddenly theres a drone attack lol isnt that just so unfair i feel so bad for them πŸ€• anyway i was watching the news last night and didnt see any coverage of this but is it true that russias shadow fleet has been spotted in the mediterranean sea like whats going on over there its all so sad and confusing and my heart just goes out to ukraine right now πŸ’”

Man oh man, can't believe what's happening on both sides πŸ€―πŸ’”. Russia's just making things worse for themselves, launching drone attacks and then claiming they're just trying to counter Ukraine's air power 🚫. Newsflash, Russia: using civilians as human shields ain't gonna cut it anymore πŸ‘Ž. And on the other hand, I feel bad for those volunteers who got killed while just trying to deliver bread 🍞😒. We gotta keep supporting these innocent folks and putting pressure on both sides to stop this senseless violence πŸ’ͺ. Maybe someone should send in a team of expert medics to help with all that energy crisis πŸŒ‘οΈβ„οΈ. And what's up with the US President making peace claims without knowing all the facts? Shouldn't they be focusing on getting Ukraine the help it needs ASAP? πŸ€”πŸ’¬

🚨 this war is getting outta hand, 1429 days in & it's still no clear winner... Russia keeps trying to show off its military might but Ukraine just won't back down 🀯 they really need help tho, all these innocent ppl getting hurt on both sides πŸ™ Putin's claims of wanting peace sound legit but I'm not buying it, what's the real motive? πŸ’Έ & btw, why is the West still giving Russia a free pass when they're basically violating UN conventions left & right? πŸ€” Norway's air defense missiles are a nice gesture tho, hopefully it'll help keep Ukraine safe πŸ”₯

Ugh, what's going on with these drone attacks?! 🀯 Russia is just getting more aggressive by the day. I mean, two volunteers delivering bread were killed in a drone attack? It's just too much. The situation in Ukraine is already dire, and now it feels like there's no escape from this chaos.

I'm worried about those 2,600 buildings still without heat... -10 degrees Celsius is crazy! πŸ₯Ά How are people supposed to survive like that? And what's up with the French intercepting that oil tanker? It just feels like another escalation of tensions. Can't we all just get along and find a peaceful solution?

But hey, I guess it's good to see some optimists emerging, like Tatyana Moskalkova speaking out about those two Russian soldiers being found alive. Maybe there's hope yet... 🀞

Wow πŸ’₯ Russia's drone attacks are getting more aggressive by the day! Interesting how they're trying to counter Ukraine's air power but only ending up harming innocent civilians πŸ€• The energy crisis in Ukraine is a nightmare, -10 degrees Celsius is brutal ❄️ Norway's help with air defense missiles is definitely needed, thanks for that πŸ‘

man this war is getting crazy 🀯 Russia just keeps escalating things and people are dying left and right. 2,600 buildings without heat is like a whole different world over here ❄️ I feel for those Ukrainian ppl struggling to survive amidst all this chaos. And what's with Trump saying both Putin & Zelenskyy want peace? doesn't make sense πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ either way, international diplomacy needs to step up and address the real issue at hand - who's actually responsible for all these human losses πŸ’” meanwhile France intercepting that oil tanker is a nice gesture but not much else seems like it's changing things 😐

πŸ€• This war is getting more and more brutal by the day, it's heartbreaking to see innocent people caught in the middle 🌎. The fact that two volunteers delivering bread were killed in a drone attack is just devastating πŸ’”. And these glider bomb attacks are just getting worse, leaving so many people injured and dead πŸ’€.

The US President Trump saying both Putin and Zelenskyy want to make peace is so confusing, I'm not sure what to believe πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. And the fact that Russia's Human Rights Commissioner thinks two of their soldiers were alive when they got captured raises some serious questions about Russia's true intentions πŸ’‘.

The international community needs to step in and help Ukraine with this energy crisis ASAP ⚑️, it can't be fair on them to have to deal with freezing temperatures without heat. And Norway's air defense missile pledge is a nice gesture, but we need more concrete action from the world leaders 🀝. This war has to come to an end soon, our hearts and minds are just not made for this level of suffering 😩.

πŸ˜” my heart just sank reading about those poor volunteers getting killed by Russian drones... can't even imagine how scared they must've been πŸ€• and it's heartbreaking that innocent civilians are getting hurt every day on both sides of the conflict. 600 buildings still without heat? -10 degrees Celsius is awful ❄️ ukraine needs our support & help ASAP πŸ’–

πŸ€• it's just getting worse over here, 1429 days into this war and things are still super dire. i mean can we even begin to imagine how hard it must be for those people living under constant fear of being killed by drones or glider bombs? 🚨 and its not just the humans that are suffering, their animals too. like how do you even care for a pet when there's no heat in your home?

and honestly i'm so confused about what's going on with some of these world leaders. trump is saying they want peace but then british starmer is all like nope they're just waging war... 🀯 and then there are people like moskalkova who come out of the woodwork saying that russia has prisoners who were actually found to be alive. i mean what even is going on here? 😩

πŸ€” man I just can't believe how messed up this whole situation is ... two volunteers delivering bread get killed by a drone attack and no one's doing anything about it πŸ™„ Russia's just keeping on launching attacks and expecting Ukraine to just sit back πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ meanwhile in France they're trying to intercept Russian oil tankers but I'm sure it'll all be some kind of bureaucratic mess πŸ“ and have Ukraine still struggling with this energy crisis... 2600 buildings without heat is just insane πŸ’” and don't even get me started on Putin's claim that he wants peace πŸ™„ sounds like a load of BS to me πŸ€₯

can we ever truly say peace is around the corner when innocent lives are lost daily? πŸ€• drone attacks on civilians are a harsh reality in this war-torn region. how can we trust those who claim to want peace when their actions scream otherwise? πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ at least some voices of hope like Tatyana Moskalkova's story give us a glimmer of light, but is it enough to change the course of this devastating conflict? πŸ’‘

πŸ€” this war is like a never-ending loop of tragedy, it's hard to keep track of who's doing what anymore... Russia and Ukraine are like two sides of the same coin, each one accusing the other of aggression while they're both just trying to survive in a world that doesn't seem to understand their existence. It's like we're all stuck in this cycle of violence and retaliation, and I'm not sure how we can ever break free from it. πŸŒͺ️

and have you noticed how every time someone claims that peace is on the horizon, it always seems to be met with skepticism? Like, we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop before we can even consider making any moves towards peace. I guess that's just human nature - we're wired to expect the worst-case scenario. 🌫️

but what really gets me is when world leaders start talking about diplomacy and international law like they actually understand the complexities of this conflict. I mean, have they ever walked a mile in the shoes of those soldiers on the front lines? Or the civilians caught in the crossfire? It's easy to talk about peace from behind a desk, but it's a whole different story when you're facing down bullets and bombs every day. πŸ’”

πŸ€• this war is getting so sad my heart is breaking thinking about all these innocent ppl gettin killed or hurt πŸ™ 1429 days and it feels like we're still in a nightmare who's gonna end this soon? 🀯 Russia & Ukraine can't just keep fighting forever πŸ˜”
