A devastating turn of events unfolded on the streets of Staten Island, where a young girl lost her life just days after being severely injured in a fatal collision. Six-year-old Anheli Vasquez-Trinidad was critically hurt in the accident, which took place last Friday morning at the intersection of Rockland Avenue and Forest Hill Road.
Eyewitnesses described the horrific scene when the Honda car carrying Anheli collided head-on with an SUV driven by a 50-year-old woman, who suffered only minor injuries. The impact left two passengers of the Honda in critical condition: a 70-year-old woman who remains hospitalized in stable but critical condition and a 90-year-old man who sadly lost his life.
Anheli's condition rapidly deteriorated over the next couple of days, and unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
According to authorities, the Audi driver attempted to make a left turn onto Forest Hill Road, crossing in front of the Honda, which ultimately led to the fatal crash. this whole thing feels like it's being swept under the rug. first, a girl gets seriously hurt in an accident, then she dies two days later... what's the rush? we need more info on what exactly happened here 
they say the audi driver made a wrong turn, but that doesn't explain why the nypd is so slow to make any arrests
