80-year-old Detroit-area bakery expands - Detroit Metro Times

🤩 I'm loving this news about the Metropolitan Baking Company expanding their operations! It's awesome that they're creating more jobs for the local community in Hamtramck - 25 new workers is a big deal. Their commitment to hiring from the area shows they care about supporting the community they're part of. And let's be real, who doesn't love fresh hot dog buns straight from Detroit? 🌭 The fact that they're now producing over 240 dozen buns per minute is crazy! It just goes to show how much demand there is for their products. I'm curious to see where this expansion takes them - will we start seeing more of their delicious baked goods in cities across the US?

ugh, another small business getting all the love 🙄. seriously though, 25 new hires in detroit? that's cute. but let's be real, it's not like they're hiring for the streets or anything 🤑. probably just gonna be more working-class people from hamtramck like they've been doing for decades 🤷‍♂️. and what's with the emphasis on 'taking detroit pride to customers across the country'? isn't that just code for 'we're gonna make some more dough' 💸? anyway, at least they're not serving those awful, dry buns anymore 🍞😒.

🍞️ I just think its awesome how this bakery expanded & hired more people 🤝, it teaches us that when business grows, we gotta invest in our community 💸. Its great to see a family-run biz still stuck to its roots 🌿 and not forgetting where they came from 🙏. This expansion is like leveling up for the employees too 👍💼, new facilities = better work life balance & stuff. The president's view on making Detroit a stable city & improving schools & public safety is spot on 📚👮‍♂️
