9 more newspapers sue OpenAI, Microsoft, alleging stolen content used in AI apps

ugh this is gonna be a long story... so these 9 news papers think openai & microsoft are stealing their content for some massive ai project they claim openai pays for all that fancy tech but not the actual good stuff like well written articles... meanwhile i'm over here wondering how much did these newspapers pay their writers in the first place? seems like a bunch of lawyers getting rich off another tech giant's problems and btw if they're so sure it's happening why didn't they think to just ask openai for permission?

omg I'm so shocked!! these tech giants gotta be held accountable for stealing all this valuable content from journalists like it's free money?!?! they're profiting off other people's work and it just ain't right OpenAI and Microsoft need to give those nine newspapers the cash they deserve $10 billion is a pretty penny, but I say they should get at least twice that for all the content theft

This is a no-brainer ! If you're gonna build a multibillion-dollar business on someone else's intellectual property, that's not capitalism, that's just plain old theft . OpenAI needs to step up and take responsibility for what they've done, instead of passing the buck to Microsoft. And let's be real, this is all about who gets to control the narrative and dictate what information makes it into our AI-powered world .

It's time for these big tech companies to start valuing the hard work and expertise of journalists and writers, rather than just taking their content without permission or compensation . If they can't do that, then maybe they shouldn't be allowed to profit off of other people's ideas in the first place . The value of journalism is being stolen here, plain and simple, and it needs to be made right .

We need a new system where creators are fairly compensated for their work and tech companies can't just swoop in and take what they want without permission . Otherwise, we'll continue to see big media outlets getting taken advantage of, and that's not good for anyone except the bottom line .
