A Journalist Reported From Palestine. YouTube Deleted His Account Claiming He’s an Iranian Agent.

I'm totally bugged by this YouTube thingy with Robert Inlakesh's account. I mean, come on, you delete his entire channel without explaining why? It just doesn't sit right with me. And now he can't even make new Google accounts or share his vids anywhere... that's like, super unfair! What if all those other journalists who are critical of Israel or whatever end up getting "accidentally" deleted too? That'd be a total disaster We need more transparency and accountability from these Big Tech companies, stat!

I think its pretty messed up what happened to Robert Inlakesh . He's a journalist who just did his job and reported on things that matter, but YouTube is like "oh no you can't be on our platform". Its not right because he was only working for Press TV, which I guess some people might see as a thing from Iran, but what about all the other journalists who are friends with Israel?

And I dont get why they said his account was spam or something, but then later said it was because of an Iranian influence campaign. That's like saying "oh its not me" when you're caught doing something bad . Its kinda worrying that YouTube and Google have these rules for what kind of content is allowed, but its not super clear who makes those decisions and why.

I just wish they would be more open about it all, like "hey we made a mistake with this guy's account" instead of making up reasons after the fact .

come on youtube what's goin on here? u delete someones account but then later say it was because of iranian influence campaign? that dont make sense fam! Inlakesh had nothin to do with anythin Iran related after he left press tv in 2021, so why did u have to erase his whole youtube history? also what about all them other british journalists who work for iranian state media orgs and they still get to keep their accounts? is it coz ur scared of bein seen as anti-israel or somethin? cant google just be transparent about what u do?
