Australian Dream-Pop Artist Hatchie Unveils Latest Single 'Carousel' Ahead of US Concerts
Hatchie, the brainchild of Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Harriette Pilbeam, has just dropped her latest single "Carousel" in support of her third studio album "Liquorice". The dream-pop practitioner is gearing up for a string of US concerts, including stops in Los Angeles and New York.
"Carousel" is an epic track that delves into themes of fixation, longing, and emotional suspension. The song boasts shoegaze-inspired guitars and builds to a soaring chorus. Fans are already buzzing around the single's release, with Hatchie expressing her excitement about finally sharing "Liquorice" with her Australian fans.
The album "Liquorice", released through Secretly Canadian, features singles like "Lose It Again", "Sage", and "Only One Laughing". The LP was recorded by producer Melina Duterte at her home studio in Los Angeles, alongside Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint, Courtney Barnett) on drums, with Alex Farrar (Wednesday, MJ Lenderman) on mixing duties. Greg Obis (Dutch Interior, Slow Pulp, Wishy) mastered the album in Chicago.
Hatchie has been gaining momentum since her debut album's release, and fans can expect a treat with her "Liquorice Tour" 2026. The tour will kick off with a show at Los Angeles' Lodge Room on February 5th, followed by stops in New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg on February 20th. She'll also return to Sydney for a headline show on May 3rd at The Vanguard.
