I think the influencer economy is at a weird crossroads right now. On one hand, AI-generated videos are so convincing that it's hard to tell what's real and what's not. That's definitely changing the game for creators who used to rely on their personal connections with audiences. But at the same time, I don't think we can just dismiss the role of AI in creating content. I mean, think about all the hours of footage that would have been shot but never shared if it wasn't for editing software like Sora. That being said, I do agree with Jeremy that we need to be more aware of how AI is being used and not get too caught up in the hype. Maybe platforms should take a step back and focus on supporting creators in ways that don't involve selling ad space.
