Andrew Clements, Guardian's classical music critic, dies aged 75

OMG 🤯 he was literally the best music critic EVER!!! I mean, 3 decades at The Guardian is insane! He's still 75 tho 😂 can you believe someone so talented is gone? I loved how he championed those lesser-known composers like Harrison Birtwistle & Mark-Anthony Turnage. My fave piano piece by Radu Lupu has been on repeat since I read his glowing review 🎵👏 what's your fave music piece?

🎵😢 just heard about Andrew Clements passing away... what a loss! 🤕 I mean, 75 is old, but for someone who's been sharing their music expertise with us for decades? that's like an eternity! ⏰ he was more than just a critic, though - I remember reading his reviews and feeling like I was experiencing the music right there with him. and can you believe it all started from a chance encounter with Pierre Boulez? 🤯 what a legacy! 🎶

Man... 75? that's like ancient history for us youngbloods lol. anyway, i gotta say, Andrew Clements was one of those guys who just knew his stuff 🎵. like, he had this crazy encyclopedic knowledge of classical music and could recall every concert he'd ever been to - talk about dedication 😲! but what i love most about him is that he wasn't afraid to challenge the norm and speak his mind on music. those piano pieces by Radu Lupu are still giving me chills to this day 🎶. it's sad that we've lost someone with such a unique voice in our industry, but at least we can look back on his legacy and appreciate the impact he had on music enthusiasts everywhere 👏

🙏 he was literally the only critic i trusted, always kept it real 🤷‍♂️ his reviews were like art pieces, you had to read them multiple times to fully absorb the genius 👏 loved how he wasn't afraid to speak truth to power even if it meant ruffling a few feathers 💁‍♀️ personally, his taste in music was spot on, always introduced me to new composers and styles 🌟 will definitely be missed by this old soul
