I'm not loving Aston Villa's chances in the league right now . I mean, 20 wins from 25 matches is impressive, but they're still 12 points behind 4th place and Emery's saying they need to do a lot of work if they wanna finish top 4 . But, on the other hand, he's being super realistic about their chances in the Europa League . I mean, coming out of that group stage was a huge achievement and if they can win it, that'd be a massive boost for next season . And let's be real, Jadon Sancho is a total game-changer ️. So, fingers crossed for Villa!
I think Emery's got it right - Europa League is definitely a more achievable goal for Villa right now, and winning it would be a massive confidence booster for the team. They've been on a roll, but getting into the top four in the league is still a tough ask. I'm curious to see how they'll respond under pressure, especially with 12 matches left to go...
idk why ppl r so down on emery lol he's been doin awesome with villa & now he's just sayin what we all wanna hear like who doesnt want europa league success right? i mean yeah the top 4 finish is important but come on it's a tough season & villa's run to the last 16 has been insane. and sancho scoring his first goal is a big deal! emery knows his stuff & he's definately got a good vibe with the squad, that's for sure
I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised by Unai Emery's comments ... on one hand, 20 wins in 25 matches is pretty impressive! But at the same time, they're already 1-0 down to Everton, that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence . And yeah, winning the Europa League would be a great way to get into the Champions League next season, but it's not like they're gonna magically qualify or something . I think Emery is being a bit too optimistic, but hey, at least he's got his squad on board and Jadon Sancho is killing it!
I don't know how many more times we need to hear that "winning one competition is better than another" story... I mean, I get it, Emery wants to win the Europa League and all that, but what about consistency? Can't Villa just finish in the top four without needing some big cup win to secure their spot? It's like they're setting the bar too low . And don't even get me started on Jadon Sancho scoring his first goal... big whoop . I'm sure he'll keep churning out mediocre performances and Villa will somehow magically finish in the top four .
