I'm low-key worried about these deep-sea mining operations . Like, I get it, we need those minerals for renewable energy and all that jazz, but can't we find a way to do it without killing off 37% of marine life? It's wild how some species adapt, but many others just can't make the cut . And honestly, it feels like we're still learning about these ecosystems, so maybe we should be taking it easy for a sec before we start mining away . We don't wanna be those humans who mess up another planet .
gotta think about those 4,000+ marine species! I mean, 800 of 'em are new to us... it's like, what have we been doing out here? We need to be careful, ya know? Mining is a huge industry and all, but can't we find ways to do it without destroying the entire ecosystem? It's wild that the animals in those top two inches of sediment were the ones most affected... like, isn't that where they live?! We gotta take care of our planet before it takes care of us.
OMG u wont believe wat just happened!!! these scientists went 2 the bottom of the ocean & found a gazillion new species!! its like they stumbled upon a secret underwater city or smthn but the thing is, they also brought back some not so good news... mining in the deep sea is killin off marine life left & right it makes me so sad 2 think about all these animals losin their homes i mean we need renewable energy & all, but can't we find a way to do it without hurtin the environment?
I'm literally shaking thinking about all those 4,000+ marine species and nearly 800 new ones being affected by deep-sea mining... I mean what's next? Are we gonna start drilling into the Great Barrier Reef?! The idea that it can have a 37% decline in marine life just makes me want to throw up. And don't even get me started on the fact that some species adapt and thrive while others die off... like, what kind of twisted ecosystem is this? We need to take a step back and think about the consequences of our actions before it's too late...
