Cremation pyre in Africa thought to be world's oldest containing adult remains

I mean, 9,500 years old? That's crazy 💀🔥! A queen-sized mattress worth of ashes and bones? What was going on back then? I'm all for understanding the past, but this just seems like a bunch of overcompensating for me 😒. I don't get why they had to go through so much trouble cremating one person. It's not like she was some kind of royalty or anything 👑. And what about the tokens? Like, who needed all those body parts as souvenirs 🤯? Anyway, it's cool that we're getting more insight into ancient cultures and stuff, but let's not get carried away here 😅.

😮 I'm not surprised by this find, tbh. The African continent has got some amazing archaeological discoveries in recent years. It's crazy to think that these hunter-gatherer communities had such complex rituals back then. I mean, 9,500 years old is ancient! 🕰️ And it's wild that they were able to create a pyre with so much precision and skill. 🔍 just thinkin... if they found out how many ppl were involved in creatin that pyre, it's defo not just a bunch of random ppl. there had to be some serious organization goin on, like a whole community was workin together to make sure this woman got the sendoff she deserved 💀🔪️. and the fact that they found 170 individual bones from her alone is wild 🤯. i mean, what else were they buryin alongside her? maybe some of their most prized possessions or artifacts? that's some next-level ritualistic behavior right there 😏
