😔 this is so heartbreaking it's hard to imagine what Chimamanda must be going through right now losing her little one like that it just makes me wanna scream 🤯 how can something like this happen in a country with all the potential and resources naija has? 🤷‍♂️ and 16,000 doctors leaving in 7 years?! that's insane 🚨 we need to take a hard look at what's going on in nigeria's healthcare system and make some serious changes ASAP 💪 it's time for us all to come together and demand better care for our people 👊 my heart goes out to chimamanda and her family, sending them all the love 💕

I'm so frustrated that we're still talking about this after all these years. this is so heartbreaking i cant even imagine loosing a child to a medical mistake its not just adichie's son that's affected nigeria has been warning signs for years but no one listened 🤕 16k doctors leaving isnt an exodus its an emergency 1:9801 ratio is basically saying we can't care for everyone because we dont have enough docs or resources. and the "its god will" attitude is just infuriating. how many lives would be saved if people didnt shush down those who speak out? reform needs to happen now but i'm skeptical too, it takes a lot of effort to make change when people are more concerned with keeping the status quo 🤔
 
😔 this is just heartbreaking... i mean, how can we expect our healthcare system to function properly when we're already losing 16k doctors every year? it's like, what's the point of having a great system if you don't have enough people to staff it 🤦‍♂️. and it's not just the docs, but also the lack of emergency services... i remember when my aunt was in an accident back in 2010 (yeah, that was like, 15 years ago) and we had to wait for hours at the hospital before they could even take her seriously... and then she ended up with a heart attack because of the delay 😳. it's just crazy how things have changed so little over the years 🙄.
