Los Angeles Suburb Sees Deadly Confrontation When DJ Quik's Son is Convicted of Murder - 40 Years in Prison Looms Over Him.
David Marvin Blake Jr., the son of legendary producer DJ Quik, has been found guilty of second-degree murder after shooting and killing his friend Julio Moises Cardoza Jr. in a high-speed car chase last year. The victim was shot multiple times at close range before fleeing the scene.

A fan took to social media recently saying that DJ Quik was "who everyone thinks Dr. Dre is" prompting the producer to fire back with a statement addressing their comments on their rivalry.

This whole thing is just crazy, you feel me? Like, I get that everyone makes mistakes, but 40 years in prison for a high-speed car chase gone wrong? That's a lot to ask from someone who's still young. The fact that David Marvin Blake Jr. had no prior convictions or anything to show for his age should've counted for something in the sentencing... it's just not right. 
And what about DJ Quik's statement about Dr. Dre, does that even matter at this point? It's all just a lot of drama and attention on Blake, who's going through a really tough time with his own guilt and all. We should be trying to help him find peace rather than piling more pressure on him...
