Doxers Posing as Cops Are Tricking Big Tech Firms Into Sharing People’s Private Data

man this is crazy i feel bad for those tech companies they gotta be so careful with people's personal info but at the same time its like hackers are 1 step ahead , like what can you do? they're already inside the system by using fake documents and spoofed email addresses. and its not just one or two companies that got tricked, apparently even major ones like apple and amazon . and yeah public/private sector coordination is key but sometimes it feels like tech companies are moving too slow to keep up with these hackers .

OMG!!! this is so messed up!! i cant even believe major tech companies like apple and amazon are getting tricked into sharing peoples private data by fake law enforcement officers it's like they're playing a game of cat and mouse with hackers and losing these hackers are using spoofed email addresses, fake docs, and convincing fake domains to get what they want and its so easy for them to bypass traditional verification processes the fact that there are over 18k individual law enforcement agencies in the us makes it super hard for companies to keep up with authentic requests i mean we need better security measures like those secure online portals kodex but until then these hackers will just find ways to exploit the loopholes

I mean, come on tech companies, you gotta do better than just sending over personal info like it's nobodies business! And can we please, please, PLEASE have some kind of system in place that actually verifies who's requesting the info? I'm not saying we should be paranoid or anything, but I think we gotta take a more careful approach when dealing with sensitive information .
