Eagles-49ers Wild Card Round injury report, with analysis

Eagles and 49ers Set for Wild Card Round, Healthier than Expected; Injuries Complicate the Game.

The Philadelphia Eagles are entering their Wild Card Round matchup with the San Francisco 49ers in relatively healthy condition. The team took advantage of a scheduled rest week last Thursday against the Washington Commanders to allow their key players some additional recovery time.

On the other hand, the 49ers have two injury-plagued defensive players missing from their lineup: Nick Bosa and Fred Warner. Bosa suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 3 and Warner has been out since Week 6 due to an ankle injury.

Additionally, several key injuries will impact how the game plays out - Lane Johnson has practiced for the first time this year; he was down with foot issues but is expected back on Sunday.
Dallas Goedert also returned after missing some practice days earlier in the week. Meanwhile, 49ers tight end George Kittle was held to a limited role and will play through an ankle injury.

The Eagles are looking well-rested and healthy going into their matchup against the 49ers, but injuries on both sides of the ball have taken its toll.

think the eagles might struggle without jalen hurts tho πŸ’” he's been their main man since week 5 and now he's out... gotta rely on milton hills & t J edwards to step up 🀞 hopefully lane johnson can bring some consistency back to oline, that'd be huge πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

idk why people r counting out the eagles yet... think they can hold it down w/ lane back from injuries, dallas coming off practice & all. gotta respect joe burrow, he's been carrying that 49ers team on his back this season. but eagles defense is looking solid, might just be able to contain kittle & co

πŸ€” I'm kinda thinkin' that the extra rest week for the Eagles might actually work against them? They've been so dominant all season, they might be due for a bit of a letdown now that their big guys are back to 100%. Meanwhile, the 49ers are like "meh" without Bosa and Warner, but at least they're playin' with some decent depth. And don't count out Goedert comin' back - he's been missin' practice, so I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make. This game is gonna be super close, and I think the Eagles might find themselves on the outside lookin' in if they don't bring their A-game 🏈πŸ’ͺ

man this is crazy what's with all these injuries? i mean i guess rest weeks can help, but it's not like anyone expects a team to go undefeated or anything lol. but seriously, losing Bosa and Warner for the 49ers is huge. they're basically their pass rush and linebacker combo... i'm still skeptical about the eagles being healthy though, lane johnson's been down with foot issues before and it's not like he can just suddenly become a super star player πŸ˜’

I'm kinda surprised they're playing without Bosa, he's such a beast on the field 🀯, but it looks like Warner is out too so that might give the Eagles an edge at tight end? I mean, Dallas Goedert looked pretty good when he came back from injury, and Lane Johnson practicing for the first time this year is a big deal πŸ™Œ. The 49ers are gonna need to step up their game without those two injured players... how's Kittle doing with that ankle?

I'm so nervous about this game! I think the Eagles have an advantage with most of their key players back in action, but those 49er injuries are a major concern 😬. I mean, losing Nick Bosa for the season is huge - he's one of their top pass rushers. And with Lane Johnson practicing for the first time this year, it's like they're trying to test him out πŸ€”. Meanwhile, the Eagles are looking solid and rested, but we all know how injuries can turn a game around ⚠️. I'm just hoping both teams can play clean football without any major blowouts πŸ™.

πŸ€” I'm not sure how much of a difference rest weeks really make, but it's good to see the Eagles in decent shape for this game 🏈. On the other hand, missing guys like Bosa and Warner is gonna hurt the 49ers' defense big time πŸ’”. And with Lane Johnson finally practicing, that's a boost for Philly - he was looking pretty sketchy on the sidelines earlier in the year 😬. But at the same time, it's concerning to see Dallas Goedert and George Kittle playing through injuries... hoping neither of them takes too much damage πŸ€•. The 49ers are gonna need some magic from their other players to make up for the lost talent πŸ’«.

I gotta say, this Wild Card Round is gonna be crazy! The Eagles look super fresh after that rest week, but the 49ers still got a couple of big players out, you feel? Nick Bosa and Fred Warner are huge losses for them. And I'm curious to see how Lane Johnson's back from his foot issues - can he keep it up on Sunday? It's all about who can weather the storm with all these injuries 🀯

I gotta say, this Wild Card Round match is gonna be a real nail-biter! Both teams are in decent shape, considering all the injuries they're dealing with. I mean, can you believe Nick Bosa's out for the season? That's like, a huge blow to the 49ers' defense. And now they gotta rely on their other guys to step up. Meanwhile, the Eagles are looking fresh and ready to go... but will they be able to keep that momentum going? It's all about how these teams can manage those injuries and come out on top. This one's gonna be a tough one to call! πŸ€”πŸ’ͺ

I'm low-key hyped for this one... not that either team is really worth watching without a few key players out πŸ˜’πŸ‘€. I mean, it's always fun to see teams play with, like, 80% of their starting lineup. The 49ers are basically just winging it over there without Bosa and Warner πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. And can we talk about how ridiculous it is that Lane Johnson has been practicing again? Like, what took him so long to get back on the field πŸ™„. Anyway, should be a real nail-biter... or not 😴.

Looks like the 49ers are in a bit of a pickle with those two big-time players out - Nick Bosa's ACL is gonna be tough to come back from πŸ€•. And Lane Johnson's return will definitely be interesting, has been out since Sept... fingers crossed he can get back to his usual self πŸ™. The Eagles are looking good on paper though, been getting that rest week and it shows πŸ’ͺ. This one's gonna be a tough matchup, think the 49ers need Bosa back ASAP ⏰.

omg I'm so stoked for this game 🀩! The Eagles seem to be in a good spot considering all the injuries they've had this season... it's crazy how much of an impact even key players missing can make! 😲 Lane Johnson is back, which is super positive for them. But seriously, the 49ers are gonna bring their A-game with Bosa and Warner out 🀯! This one's gonna be a wild ride πŸ’₯

I'm so nervous about this game 🀯! Like I know the Eagles have taken care of themselves and all, but the 49ers just got absolutely hit with some major injuries 😱. Two of their top defensive players are out for good, that's huge! And I mean I get it, Lane Johnson has been dealing with foot issues, so his return is a big deal πŸ’ͺ. But still, I'm hoping they can pull through and win this thing 🏈. I've been following both teams all season and I just love the competitive spirit of football ⚑️. Can't wait to watch it go down! πŸ˜ƒ

πŸ€” I'm telling you, this whole game is rigged... I mean, who needs a full squad to play? It's like they're trying to create more drama and unpredictability for our entertainment! The Eagles are getting a break with their rest week, but it just so happens that the 49ers have some key players out. And now we're told Lane Johnson is back after missing time? That just reeks of a PR stunt to get fans excited. Meanwhile, George Kittle is playing through an ankle injury... what's next? A team of injured players going up against each other? 😏

omg i cant wait for this game 🀩 - Eagles are def gonna be tough w/ Lane Johnson back in action πŸ’ͺ! 49ers are gonna struggle without Bosa and Warner though 😬, those guys were huge for them... still think its a close game tho, injuries on both teams are crazy 🀯

man I'm kinda worried about this game πŸ€”...the 49ers are gonna need to get a lot of stops without Bosa & Warner they're like the dynamic duo on D and if they can't play, their whole strategy falls apart πŸ’₯ meanwhile the eagles seem healthy but i mean we all know how injuries can pop up at any moment...lane johnson's return is huge for them tho πŸ‘ it'll be a close one either way, gotta keep an eye on both teams' injury reports πŸ“Š

πŸ€” so I'm thinkin' this game is gonna be intense... Eagles look good to go, healthy as can be πŸ₯ after that rest week, but 49ers gotta deal with some major injury blows - Bosa and Warner are outta the picture 🚫 and Lane Johnson's been sidelined for a while πŸ’”. Meanwhile, Eagles get Dallas Goedert back in the mix, that's some good news πŸŽ‰! It's gonna be a tough one, but I got a feeling the Eagles' depth is gonna pay off πŸ‘

omg, like, can't believe these 49ers guys with all the injuries πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... I mean, Nick Bosa out for the season? No biggie, right? And Fred Warner's been out since Week 6? Guess that's just the 49ers' motto: 'we'll just keep going till someone else gets hurt πŸ˜…'. Anyway, Lane Johnson is back from foot issues and Dallas Goedert's got some practice under his belt. That's like, super optimistic 🀞... will this be the turning point for the Eagles? Only time (and their opponents) will tell πŸ’ͺ

omg i cant wait for this game!! 🀩 i think the eagles got a good shot at beating the 49ers but its def gonna be super tough cuz they lost like key players n stuff lol πŸ’” lane johnson is back tho so thats a plus!! πŸ‘ dallas goedert came back from injury and thats awesome!!! πŸ™Œ the 49ers are gonna have to deal with nick bosa's absence tho 😬 he was like their best pass rusher or whatever πŸ’₯
