According to ESPN, the Eagles sit at number two behind only one team: "The Eagles' plans go well beyond a divisional crown... They are involved in a tight race for the NFC's No. 1 seed and can gain the upper hand against one of their top competitors at Lambeau Field." The main reasons mentioned include new defensive acquisitions Jaelan Phillips, Jaire Alexander, and Michael Carter II.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around these power rankings 
. I mean, ESPN says they're number two behind one team... but then Yahoo puts them at number one? 
Confusing, right? 
And what's up with the difference in reasoning? ESPN mentions specific players like Jaelan Phillips and Jaire Alexander, while Yahoo just says their best is really good 
. And CBS places them at six? That's a big drop 
. Can't we all just agree on one ranking? 
... personally, i think it's too early to tell where they stand in the nfl hierarchy, still a long way to go before playoffs 
. Can we get some actual stats or wins to back up these rankings? 
. One thing I do think is cool is how Philly fans can get so hyped about their team even when they're not playing well 
. It's like, you know, a little extra motivation 
like, what?! we haven't had our best game every week?! that's just not true, we've been on fire this season! and can we talk about the new defensive acquisitions for a sec?! Jaelan Phillips, Jaire Alexander, and Michael Carter II... those guys are making all the difference out there
