Eagles Power Rankings Tally Up for Week 10: Where Does Philly Stand?

The Eagles, fresh off a bye week, are looking strong as they head into their next game against the Packers. But where do power rankings place them among the NFL's top teams?

In our latest power rankings roundup, here is how the six major outlets rank the Philadelphia Eagles:

According to ESPN, the Eagles sit at number two behind only one team: "The Eagles' plans go well beyond a divisional crown... They are involved in a tight race for the NFC's No. 1 seed and can gain the upper hand against one of their top competitors at Lambeau Field." The main reasons mentioned include new defensive acquisitions Jaelan Phillips, Jaire Alexander, and Michael Carter II.

On the other hand, Yahoo rankings the Eagles as number one: "The Eagles haven’t played their best game every week, but we know their best is really good. And presumably that will happen more often as the season goes on."

USA Today ranks them fourth: "They've seemingly been awfully productive despite not playing in a week − GM/EVP Howie Roseman adding OLB Jaelan Phillips and CBs Michael Carter II and Jaire Alexander rather than kicking back during Philly's bye."

CBS places the Eagles at six, stating that they came off their bye with a big game next Monday against the Packers. "Making the move to get edge rusher Jaelen Phillips was a smart one."
 
I think it's kinda funny how different power rankings can have the Eagles as either number one or two. To me, Philly still needs to prove they're the best team in the NFC... I mean, coming off that bye week and getting new defensive players like Jaelan Phillips, they should be strong contenders for the #1 seed. Still, it's hard to tell right now - their performance has been inconsistent, you know? ESPN is probably being a bit generous with the "tight race" thing, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how they do at Lambeau 🐦💪
 
I got nothin' but love for the Eagles 🦅💪! But for real tho, who's behind them? The Packers? Nah, they're still struggling 😂. And why is CBS ranking them sixth? Did someone finally tell 'em they can't hang with the big boys? 🤣 On a serious note though, new defensive additions Jaelan Phillips and Jaire Alexander are straight fire 🔥! Philly's got this!

I mean, ESPN says they're number two behind one team... but then Yahoo puts them at number one? 📈 Confusing, right? 🙄 And what's up with the difference in reasoning? ESPN mentions specific players like Jaelan Phillips and Jaire Alexander, while Yahoo just says their best is really good 💪. Meanwhile, USA Today says they're productive despite not playing a game... but I thought bye weeks were supposed to be for rest, not for making moves 🔄. And CBS places them at six? That's a big drop 🤯. Can't we all just agree on one ranking? 😂
 
I cant believe the inconsistency in these power rankings 🤯. One minute the Eagles are second best and the next they're number one? I mean, what's wrong with being ranked as two because they haven't played their best game every week?! They're humans, not robots! And another thing, what does it even mean to be involved in a "tight race for the NFC's No. 1 seed" when you're only ranked second? Are they expecting us to believe they've got this all figured out just because of some new defensive acquisitions? Like, what if those guys don't pan out?! 🤔
 
the packers sound like they're gonna be tough opponents 🤔, especially if the eagles' new defensive acquisitions start performing well... i'm not sure how much stock we should put into these power rankings tho, seems like some outlets are being pretty optimistic about the eagles 😊... personally, i think it's too early to tell where they stand in the nfl hierarchy, still a long way to go before playoffs 🏈
 
🤔 I think it's crazy how power rankings can vary so much from outlet to outlet. On one hand, having a strong defense and new additions like those three players sounds solid, but at the same time, if Philly isn't playing their best game every week, that's not exactly inspiring confidence. 🏈 What really matters is performance on the field, not who's ranked higher in some article 😅. Can we get some actual stats or wins to back up these rankings? 💪
 
I THINK THE EAGLES ARE GETTING A LOT OF LOVE FROM THESE POWER RANKINGS! 🤔 I MEAN, WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE NUMBER ONE? BUT SERIOUSLY, I THINK THEY'RE LOOKING STRONG WITH THOSE NEW DEFENSIVE ACQUISITIONS. JALEN PHILLIPS AND JARE ALEXANDER SHOULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE AGAINST THE PACKERS NEXT WEEK. ALSO, HOWIE ROSEMAN IS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT AS GM - ADDING KEY PLAYERS DURING THE BYE WEEK SEEMS TO BE WORKING OUT SO FAR! 😊
 
I don’t usually comment but I think it’s crazy how much power rankings can vary depending on who's doing them 🤯. Like, Yahoo just straight up says they're number one and ESPN is like "no way, they're second". And CBS puts them at six? That's a big swing 🔄. I don’t know about the Eagles' defense though, I mean they got some new guys but are they really going to be that much better than the other teams? I guess only time will tell 💥. One thing I do think is cool is how Philly fans can get so hyped about their team even when they're not playing well 🤩. It's like, you know, a little extra motivation 💪.

but then there's Yahoo ranking us as number one and I am DEAD 💀 like, what?! we haven't had our best game every week?! that's just not true, we've been on fire this season! and can we talk about the new defensive acquisitions for a sec?! Jaelan Phillips, Jaire Alexander, and Michael Carter II... those guys are making all the difference out there 🤝

and CBS is like, "oh wait, they're only ranked sixth" 🙄 what's wrong with that? have they been watching the same games we've been watching?! I know Philly's bye week was rough, but come on, we still managed to get some productivity going 😂
 
idk how i feel about this power rankings thing... espn thinks eagles are running for no1 seed and that's cool but yahoo is straight up saying we're number 1 which sounds kinda crazy... usa today ranks us 4th which makes sense cause we did get some big fish in jalen phillips and micheal carter ii during the bye... cbs is a bit low imo but hey at least they acknowledged getting jaelen phillips 🤔🏈

So I'm reading about these power rankings and it's all like what does this mean? Like how can you rank teams if there are so many variables? 🤔 And then I see that ESPN is saying the Eagles have big plans for beyond just winning their division, but Yahoo's all like they're number one right now. Um, wait a minute... doesn't being ranked higher than anyone else kinda mean you're doing everything right? 🤷‍♀️ But then USA Today says they've been productive despite not playing and CBS is all about the defensive move they made. I'm just trying to wrap my head around this stuff... does it matter who's number one or whatever? 😂
 
aww man 😔 it sounds like the Eagles fans are feeling all the feels right now... some ppl think they're on top of the world 🌟, others don't see them shining as bright ⚫️... can't blame either side really tho 🤷‍♀️, each team's got their own strengths & weaknesses 💪... but honestly, if I had to pick a side i'd say the Eagles are looking pretty fire 🔥 right now! ✨

I gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about these power rankings 🤔. On one hand, it's awesome to see the Eagles looking strong and all those new defensive additions are making a difference 🏈. But at the same time, we don't know how they're gonna perform under pressure... or when they inevitably have an off game 😅. I mean, we've seen teams go from on fire to tanking quickly. Philly's got a tough road ahead of them, especially against the Packers 🏃‍♂️. Still, it's exciting to see the confidence in their playmaking abilities 💪. Can they back it up? That's what makes this game so intriguing 🎉!
