Episode Seven: Dirty Information

I'm really worried about what's going on with Donald Trump's presidency. He's basically taking over the government like an authoritarian leader . It's crazy how some news outlets are still covering him up without calling out his actions for what they are . We need more people to speak truth to power and defend press freedom . If we don't, it'll be too late for democracy. The Intercept is trying to hold Trump accountable, but we need all hands on deck to stop this from happening . I'm just so scared for our country's future .

I don't think it's fair to say Trump is "authoritarian" just 'cause he's makin' some big moves in DC . I mean, we've got a system in place where presidents can, you know, make executive decisions and whatnot. And if Trump wants to shake things up a bit, that's his prerogative, right?

And let's be real, the media has been pretty harsh on him over the years, so I'm not surprised he's pushin' back . And yeah, maybe some of his methods are unorthodox, but who hasn't taken some heat for tryin' to do somethin' new? It's all part of the game, right?

I know some folks might be worried about the impact on democracy and all that jazz, but I think we need to keep things in perspective here . We've got a lot more than one perspective on this, and it's up to us as citizens to stay informed and make our own decisions .

So yeah, maybe Trump is makin' some changes, but he's not just "authoritarian" or anythin' like that . We need to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions based on a few headlines .

i'm really worried about what's going on with trump and his admin they're basically stripping congress of its power and putting maga loyalists in charge of the military and law enforcement it's like, we've seen this before in other countries where authoritarian regimes take over and crush any opposition but here's the thing - in our country, we have a system that's supposed to be able to stop something like this from happening so far, though, i'm seeing a lot of journalists and news outlets downplaying trump's moves and pretending it's not a big deal honestly, it's super frustrating because i know how important press freedom is in keeping our democracy alive anyone else feeling really concerned about what's going on?

um so like what u just said about trump and stuff i was thinking about it too but i dont really understand how did he become president again didnt he win some kinda election or something? i mean idk if its even legit anymore anywayz how do people who oppose him still get to say their opinions online without getting in trouble lol

I'm literally shaking right now thinking about what's happening in our country... like, are we seriously just gonna sit back and watch democracy get dismantled before our eyes? It's not even hyperbole anymore, folks! The fact that Trump is basically running the show and ignoring court orders is just insane. And don't even get me started on how they're treating the press... banishing outlets and investigating journalists who aren't sycophants to Trump? That's a recipe for disaster, in my opinion . We need to wake up and realize that what we're seeing right now is not politics as usual, it's full-on authoritarianism . The Intercept is one of the few remaining beacons of truth and independence out there, but even they're being attacked. I mean, what's next? Will we have to pay attention to what Trump tweets on his lunch break? No seriously though, this is a crisis moment for our country and we need to take action... or at least, try to understand what's going on

The numbers are not good According to recent polling data (70% of Americans think we're living in an authoritarian regime ), 85% of Americans believe the media is biased against Trump, but only 27% of outlets covering him are critical of his actions. Meanwhile, news outlets that challenge him have been banned or put under investigation !
