FA Cup: How to watch and listen to first round on the BBC this weekend

For the first round of the FA Cup, fans will be able to catch eight live matches on BBC Two and the BBC Sport website and app. The action begins with a Friday night match as Jack Wilshere's Luton Town host Robbie Savage's Forest Green Rovers at 7:30 PM.

On Saturday, Brackley Town - who have been in the competition four times before, including their latest appearance last season where they were knocked out by Stockport County - will take on League Two side Notts County. The match is scheduled for 5:45 PM GMT.

Later that evening, Eastleigh face off against League Two leaders Walsall in a Sunday afternoon showdown at 2:15 PM.

Highlights from all games will be presented by Jason Mohammed on BBC Two and the BBC Sport website and app at 4:45 PM on Sunday. Digital highlights will also be available on the BBC Sport website and social media channels.

In addition to television coverage, fans can tune into BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds for nine live FA Cup first round matches across Sports Extra, Sports Extra 2, and Sports Extra 3. The action kicks off at 7:30 PM on Friday with Luton Town hosting Forest Green Rovers.

For those in the UK without access to their local radio station on BBC Sounds, simply ask your smart speaker 'play 5 Sports Extra' or 'play Sports Extra 3'.

OMG you guys ๐Ÿคฉ! The FA Cup is back and I'm so hyped for the live matches!!! ๐ŸŸ๏ธ It's gonna be a sick weekend of footy with BBC Two, BBC Sport website & app, Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds covering all the action! โšฝ๏ธ Friday night match at Luton Town vs Forest Green Rovers at 7:30 PM is gonna be lit ๐Ÿ”ฅ, then Brackley Town takes on Notts County on Saturday at 5:45 PM. Don't miss the Sunday showdown between Eastleigh and Walsall leaders! ๐Ÿ“บ Make sure to tune in for Jason Mohammed's highlights at 4:45 PM! ๐Ÿ‘

omg can't believe its that time of year again!! fa cup is back ๐Ÿ† and i'm so stoked to catch all those matches live. brackley town vs notts county sounds like a good one, been waiting for them to make it out of the group stages lol. and walsall hosting eastleigh on sunday looks like a barn burner ๐Ÿคฏ can't wait to tune in via bbc sports app and radio 5 live too. hoping jack wilshere's luton town brings home some silverware ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I gotta say, eight live matches? That's cute. Most people don't even know when the FA Cup is until it's almost too late for them to catch any of the games on TV... just saying. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyway, Brackley Town has been in this competition what, four times? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Still can't seem to get past Stockport County. Those guys are like the Manchester City of non-league teams or something - always knocking out the big boys. Walsall, on the other hand, is like the dark horse - they're not expected to do much but maybe surprise us all with a win? ๐Ÿค” Only time will tell.

๐Ÿค“ The FA Cup is back and I'm hyped! It's always a treat to watch some old-school football matches with all the nostalgia, but at the same time, it's crazy how far the game has evolved since my childhood days. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I mean, who wouldn't want to see Jack Wilshere's Luton Town taking on Robbie Savage's Forest Green Rovers? That's like a dream come true for any footy fan! But at the same time, I'm also thinking about how some of these teams have been in the competition so many times before... it's almost like they're stuck in a time loop, you know? ๐Ÿ˜‚

And can we talk about the scheduling? 7:30 PM on Friday and 2:15 PM on Sunday? It's like the BBC is trying to cram as much football into our lives as possible! But hey, I'm all for it. Bring it on! ๐Ÿ†

omg i'm so stoked that bbc is giving us a ton of options for live fa cup matches ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ€! like, eight games to watch?!? that's more than enough football for me this weekend. and the fact that we can catch them all on bbc two or the website/app is literally perfect. no need to miss out because you're not near a tv ๐Ÿ“Š

can't wait to see which teams come out on top and get pumped for the sunday evening highlights with jason mohammed ๐Ÿ’ฅ digital highlights are also a big win, so fans can catch up on their favorite games even if they miss the live broadcast. and let's not forget about radio coverage - nine matches across three channels? that's just genius ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

one tiny suggestion: could we please get more team logos or graphics in the schedule?!? it'd be super cool to have a fancy format with all the teams' names and times... but overall, i'm super excited for the fa cup coverage this weekend! โฐ

I think it's wild that only BBC Radio is gonna be showing all these matches and not other stations. It's like they're trying to control the narrative on who gets access to FA Cup action. I mean, what about those of us who don't have a smart speaker? We gotta rely on the state-subsidized media outlet to get our sports fix ๐Ÿค”.

๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘€ So many matches to catch this FA Cup round! I'm loving the live streams on BBC Two and the app, can't wait for Friday's Luton Town vs Forest Green Rovers ๐ŸŽ‰... but then I started thinking, have we seen enough of Jack Wilshere playing for Luton? ๐Ÿ˜… He was always a top player when he was at Arsenal, don't get me wrong, but now he's not as regular on the pitch. Anyway, back to the matches... Brackley Town vs Notts County on Sat looks like an interesting one, hope they can pull off a upset ๐Ÿคž! And who knows, maybe we'll see some new faces in the FA Cup this season? ๐Ÿ”ฎ

man I'm actually kinda hyped for the FA Cup this year ๐Ÿคฉ. been a huge fan of watching smaller teams get a chance to take on the bigger clubs and sometimes pull off the upset. Luton Town vs Forest Green Rovers is gonna be sick ๐Ÿ’ฅ and I love that Brackley Town's got some history in the competition, it'll be cool to see them give Notts County a run for their money ๐Ÿ†

Ugh, can't believe I'm gonna be stuck at home watching all these FA Cup matches while I was really looking forward to that new sci-fi show ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ˜’. But on the bright side, at least we've got some decent live coverage with BBC Two and the app - should be interesting to see Luton Town take on Forest Green Rovers on Friday! ๐ŸŸ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€
