Franz Wagner scores 32 points, Magic hold off Heat 106-105 - WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

The Orlando Magic edged out the Miami Heat in a thrilling 106-105 matchup, thanks largely to Franz Wagner's impressive performance of 32 points. The Magic, who have been on a winning streak, improved their record to seven wins in nine games, while the Heat notched just one win in four contests since a six-game victory skid.

Wagner, along with Jalen Suggs' 22 points, proved too much for the Heat to handle, although Miami's Norman Powell kept his team in the game by scoring 28 points, including two layups that sealed the final outcome. Bam Adebayo chipped in with a strong all-around effort of 24 points and 15 rebounds.

However, without star Tyler Herro due to an injury, the Heat struggled to find their footing against the Magic's potent offense. Orlando also received a boost from Paolo Banchero, who returned from a 10-game absence due to a groin strain and provided nine points and six rebounds in just 20 minutes of action.

In contrast, Desmond Bane's dismal shooting performance – five points on 2-for-16 from the field – did little to help the Heat keep pace with their opponents. With the Magic set to face the New York Knicks on Sunday, they will look to continue their winning ways, while the Heat await their next challenge against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

I'm loving this new Franz Wagner vibe 🀩 he's been a total game-changer for the Magic! 32 points is insane and I'm not surprised he led his team to that W πŸ’ͺ meanwhile, Jalen Suggs is still my favorite young gun πŸ™Œ and Paolo Banchero's return was a huge boost too... gotta feel good for him after being out with that groin strain πŸ˜” on the other hand, Desmond Bane needs to get his shot back ASAP ⚑️ but hey, the Magic are looking unstoppable right now πŸ”₯ 7-0 in nine games is no joke πŸ’₯

πŸ€” I'm not buying that Franz Wagner's 32 points made all the difference in this game... did we really need a stat like that to prove how clutch he was? πŸ€‘ Can't we just look at the box score and see that Jalen Suggs had some big numbers too? What about Bam Adebayo's dominant rebounding effort? Wasn't his 15 boards almost as impressive as Wagner's points? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And on the other side, I'd love to see some stats on how much Tyler Herro's injury actually affected the game... did Miami just get destroyed by Orlando or was it more of a fluke win for them? πŸ€”

πŸ€ just saw this highlight reel of Franz Wagner's 32 point game and I'm like woah how is he doing that? 🀯 I mean the Magic had a solid team effort but that dude was on fire πŸ”₯ and I think we can all learn from his focus and dedication to his craft. He only played for 20 minutes and still managed to put up an MVP performance πŸ“ˆ and it's making me think about how I can apply some of those same strategies to my own productivity routine πŸ’ͺ

omg u guys i cant even handle how good franz wagner is rn 32 points in a big game is insane! 🀯 and paolo banchero making a comeback after 10 games injury is like the ultimate underdog story πŸ™Œ plus the magic are on fire right now with that 7-2 record theyre looking strong for the playoffs

I'm so glad the Orlando Magic won, I was low-key rooting for the Heat πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Franz Wagner is super overrated if you ask me, 32 points just because one team beat another by one point? Give me a break πŸ™„. And what's up with Paolo Banchero getting back in the game so quickly after being out for 10 games? Like, no big deal or something 😴. Meanwhile, Desmond Bane did actually have some decent defense against Wagner and stuff, but nobody cares about that πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ. The Heat are still gonna be fine, they just need to figure out who's their real star player πŸ€”. And can we please talk about how overhyped the Magic's offense is? Like, 7-0 isn't gonna last forever, right? 😏

omg u guys i just watched that game and frainz wagner is literally a beast 🀯 he's like my spirit animal lol anyway i was at the magic game last week and saw him play live and he's so cool in person πŸ™Œ but seriously his performance tonight was insane 32 points is no joke i'm low-key hoping the heat get back on track soon because desmond bane just got roasted by the magic πŸ’€ i feel bad for him tho, gotta have a tough game like that πŸ˜”

I'm low-key disappointed in the Orlando Magic's performance, tbh πŸ€”. Franz Wagner is amazing and all, but I think Jalen Suggs got robbed of that triple-double. And what's up with Paolo Banchero playing only 20 minutes? They should've given him more time to heat up since he was already back from injury πŸ’ͺ. The Magic are still winning, but they gotta figure out how to win without Wagner carrying them on his back all the time πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Can't wait to see what the Knicks bring to the table this Sunday πŸ”œ

omg what a game! i'm so hyped for the magic right now 🀩 Franz Wagner is straight fire! 32 points is insane! and can't forget Jalen Suggs' clutch performance too πŸ™Œ 22 points is no joke. but seriously, how's Tyler Herro doing? missing an injury is never fun πŸ’” hope he recovers ASAP. the heat need him back pronto! πŸ˜…

OMG 🀩 that Franz Wagner is a beast on the court!! 32 points for him and I'm sure he's gonna be the MVP of this game πŸ†πŸ‘! The Magic are on fire right now πŸ’₯ and I love how they're pulling off these close wins πŸŽ‰. Paolo Banchero coming back from injury just gave them a huge boost πŸ’ͺ, can't wait to see what other moves they make πŸ€”. Desmond Bane though, ouch πŸ˜“ those stats were not good for the Heat πŸ€•. Anyway, Magic vs Knicks this weekend is gonna be EPIC πŸŽ‰!

man i was at that 2002 nba finals and i remember travis hopson and keyon dooling goin hard for the nets but you know how different the game is now lol franzz wagner is on fire tho, reminds me of that one time dirk nowitzki dropped 51 against the lakers in the playoffs, insane shot, still gives me chills to this day 🀯 the heat are strugglin' without herro like a team without their leader, you know how it goes. Bam adebayo's all-around game is on point tho, maybe they can learn from him πŸ‘ and poe banchero comin back from injury is like that one time peja strelsa played with a broken hand for the spurs, what a warrior πŸ™Œ

omg 🀯 the magic's win streak is crazy! 7 wins in 9 games? that's insane πŸ’₯ i'm loving franz wagner's performance though 😎 32 points is no joke. and jalen suggs coming through with 22 points too πŸ‘ but what's up with desmond bane's shooting πŸ€” 2-for-16 from the field? that's gotta hurt for the heat πŸ’”

I'm loving the comeback of Franz Wagner and the Magic! 🀩 They're looking super strong right now, especially with Paolo Banchero back in the mix. It's gonna be interesting to see how they take on the Knicks this weekend... will they keep their winning streak alive? πŸ€” As for the Heat, it's tough to swallow when you can't even get your star player (Tyler Herro) on the court due to injury πŸ˜• Still, Bam Adebayo was a bright spot in that game, and Norman Powell showed his skills too. Maybe they'll get back on track against the Kings? 🀞

can't believe the heat are losing bigly again πŸ˜’ what's up with them not having any depth? herro's injury is a big blow but it's no excuse for them not making adjustments to stop wagner and suggs πŸ€” they gotta step up their game, maybe get some more players who can put up decent numbers on the court πŸ”₯

WHAT A GAME!!! 😲 THE ORLANDO MAGIC ARE ON FIRE!!! FRANZ WAGNER IS ON POINT, 32 POINTS IS NOTHING TO SWEAT, THAT GUY'S GOT SKILLS!!! 🀩 AND PAOLO BANCHERO COMING BACK FROM INJURY, THAT'S LIKE GETTING A SUPERPOWER FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!!! πŸ’ͺ

oh man, that was a crazy game 🀯! the magic's winning streak is looking strong rn πŸ˜…, but you gotta feel for the heat, losing tyler herro and still managing to put up 28 points from norman powell? πŸ™Œ bam abeyayo's all-around effort was clutch too, but they just couldn't keep up with wagner and suggs' combo πŸ”₯πŸ‘. guess it's a tough break for miami now that tyler's out... hope he's feeling better soon 🀞

I think it's crazy how much of a difference Franz Wagner can make in a game when he's hot πŸ”₯! The guy just took over and led his team to a thrilling win over the Heat πŸ†. And I gotta give it up to Jalen Suggs, 22 points is no joke for a young player like him πŸ’ͺ.

But at the same time, you can see how tough it was for Miami without Tyler Herro 😬. They just couldn't seem to find their rhythm and it's going to be a struggle for them now that he's out πŸ€•. On the other hand, Paolo Banchero's return from injury is a huge boost for Orlando πŸ’Ό. He brought some much-needed energy off the bench and showed everyone what they've been missing since his injury πŸ”„.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the Magic's next game against the Knicks, especially with Orlando on such a hot streak πŸ”₯. Can they keep it up or will teams start to find ways to slow them down? πŸ€”

I'm so sick of Franz Wagner being the go-to guy for the Magic! Like, can't they get some other players to step up and show us what they're made of? And don't even get me started on Desmond Bane's shooting... 2-for-16 is just embarrassing πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, I know he's still recovering from his injury, but come on! Paolo Banchero's return was a nice boost, though - it's about time we saw some more of that guy on the court 😊.

The Magic's Franz Wagner is on fire πŸš€! 32 points is insane, especially with Jalen Suggs chipping in too! The Heat were struggling without Tyler Herro but Bam Adebayo stepped up his game. Still gotta feel bad for Desmond Bane though πŸ˜” 2-for-16 from the field isn't exactly what you want when your team needs a boost.

The Magic are looking strong right now, and their offense is giving teams fits 🀯 Can they keep it up against the Knicks on Sunday? The Heat have some work to do before they can get back on track. Do you think Bam Adebayo's all-around performance will be enough to turn things around for Miami? πŸ’ͺ

I'm telling you, something fishy went down in that game between Orlando and Miami πŸ€‘. I mean, think about it, Tyler Herro gets injured and suddenly his team is a total mess? It's like they're getting taken advantage of πŸ€”. And then you got Bam Adebayo putting up huge numbers but still can't get the win. It's almost like they're being set up for a fall... or maybe even something more sinister 😏. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy or anything, but it's definitely suspicious. And what's with Paolo Banchero coming back and suddenly his team is on fire? Coincidence? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
