Saracens have confirmed the signing of Leicester Tigers England lock George Martin, who will join the London club in the summer. The 24-year-old has spent his entire career with the Tigers and has scored nine tries in 73 appearances, including a stint as a member of Leicester's Premiership-winning team in 2022.
Martin made his England debut against Ireland in March 2021 and won 21 caps before suffering an injury that has kept him out of action for several months. He will be welcomed to Saracens by the club's director of rugby Mark McCall, who said Martin was a "highly driven young player" whose attributes would complement the existing group.
This move marks another significant departure from Leicester, which has lost several key players in recent years, including Stuart Sharp and Jonny May. I mean, George Martin is an amazing lock and i'm sure Saracens will love having him on board 
. He's got so much experience playing for England too, it'll be awesome to see how he adapts to the London club 
. But at the same time, gotta feel sad for Leicester, they're losing some key players and it's like, what's going on over there? 
They were doing so well last year, winning that Premiership title and all 
. Now they're 4th in the table... still a good team but you can't help but wonder if they'll be able to stay up there

the tigers are still reeling from those losses though, fourth in the prem is not great, but maybe george martin can bring some much needed stability
