Gotham FC is set to receive its official recognition as the champion of the National Women’s Soccer League after a thrilling championship win. The city's mayor, Eric Adams, has announced plans to honor the team with a grand ceremony at City Hall, which will kick off on Monday, November 24th at 10 am.
As part of the celebration, players and coaches will make appearances alongside officials, while fans are in for a treat as well. Tickets for the event can be reserved online starting from Sunday morning at 8:30 am, with only 500 spots available - first come, first served.
A special fan procession is also on the cards, with participants gathering on Barclay Street before making their way up Broadway to City Hall. Meanwhile, city landmarks will be illuminated in a vibrant sky blue hue through Monday in tribute to the league-winning team's historic achievement.
