. I mean, don't get me wrong, del Toro is an amazing director and all, but 29.1 million views doesn't necessarily make it a masterpiece, you know? It's like the internet just fell in love with the monster and not the actual story or message

the creature is so realistic it gave me chills ! i was a bit skeptical at first but guillermo del toro really outdid himself with this one . i love how he wove in those bernie wrightson illustrations, so cool to see that nod 
i've been meaning to ask, does anyone think it's weird that netflix just dropped this huge movie without a trailer or anything ? like, what was going through their minds when they decided to release it like this ? 
? But seriously, del Toro's vision is just masterful (and by that I mean he basically recreated the entire movie in his dreams and somehow made it happen)
