So yeah i think its pretty wild that the rules are still pretty lax about second yellow cards. idk how many times you have to get booked before ur just done lol. 2nd yellow card rule is basically the most confusing thing in football right now its like, why would u wanna waste time w/ ur team when u r already on a red?

I mean, come on, second yellow cards while being substituted are actually kinda legit? I know it sounds crazy, but think about it, some of these guys were clearly still trying to pull off the old time-wasting trick. Like, Denis Smith was already on a yellow card, what did he expect? I don't get why refs are always so harsh when it comes to time-wasting. Like, who hasn't taken an extra sec to cool off after getting injured? It's not like it's some big deal. I feel so bad for Denis Smith back in 1980 he was already hurt and limping around but still got sent off twice for time-wasting I mean, what's the point of even doing that if you're just gonna get a second yellow card while being substituted? omg can u believe these cases of player drama?! i mean seriously, who gets sent off 2nd time for just trying to get some fresh air or not being properly warmed up?! denis smith in 1980 and jermaine johnson in 2008, what were they thinking?! and that rui costa incident during the world cup qualifier... Portugal's chances went downhill after that . it just goes to show that players need to stay focused even when they're not playing anymore
