He’s Running to Fill Jasmine Crockett’s House Seat From Her Left. He’s Also Her Pastor.

A New Face Rises: Pastor Frederick Haynes III Runs for Jasmine Crockett's Congressional Seat as Progressive Ally

In the wake of Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's decision to vacate her House seat, a new candidate has emerged who could potentially fill the void. Pastor Frederick Haynes III, a longtime Dallas resident and community leader, is running for the seat. Interestingly, he is also the pastor at Crockett's church.

Haynes' entry into the fray comes as national progressives see an opportunity to install another member of the Squad in Congress. Justice Democrats, a progressive outfit, has endorsed his campaign, becoming the first national group to wade into the primary for the Democrat-friendly 30th Congressional District.

The primary is just a month away, and Haynes views himself as one of the group's top prospects for victory. His campaign promises to end U.S. military support for Israel and regulate the crypto industry, among other issues.

Haynes' stance on these issues sets him apart from Crockett, who has faced criticism for her own record on Israel and cryptocurrency. While Haynes has called for a ceasefire in Gaza and advocates for new regulations on cryptocurrency, Crockett has voted to send U.S. military aid to Israel and accepted campaign support from the crypto industry.

Haynes' past activism and community work have made him a target of critics on both sides of the aisle. His church hosts a legal clinic and runs programming on issues like food security, economic justice, and civic engagement.

As Haynes seeks to capitalize on voter frustration with the Democratic establishment, he's drawing attention from progressive groups and activists. His message of fighting for marginalized communities resonates with many on the left.

Despite his youth - at 65, Haynes contradicts the narrative that the battle over the future of the Democratic Party is purely about pitting younger candidates against older incumbents. The gerontocracy in Congress, according to Justice Democrats spokesperson Usamah Andrabi, is another issue that needs attention.

With a growing emphasis on grassroots organizing and community-led activism, Haynes' candidacy offers a refreshing alternative to traditional party politics. His campaign's focus on economic justice, immigration reform, and environmental issues has sparked excitement among progressives looking for change.

As the primary approaches, one thing is clear: Frederick Haynes III is running for more than just a seat in Congress - he's fighting for a vision of a more just and equitable society.

omg u guys i cant even lol frederick haynes iii is like literally the perfect candidate for this seat he has so much experience working with marginalized communities and his stance on these issues is actually kinda refreshing like he wants to end us military support for israel and regulate crypto thats not something jasmine crockett is known for and hes not just some young whip trying to be part of the squad haynes is 65 but he still has a lot of energy and passion for social justice and his church hosts this amazing legal clinic and programming on issues like food security and economic justice i'm low-key excited about this primary now

🤔 I'm not sure what's more concerning - that Haynes is using his church to host a legal clinic or that the Justice Democrats are backing him, considering their track record on getting radicals into power 🤪. And let's be real, 65 isn't exactly old for a candidate, but it's still pretty unusual for someone in politics. I'm also skeptical about Haynes' stance on Israel and crypto - sounds like he's trying to pander to the progressive crowd more than actually offering anything new 💸.

I THINK IT'S AWESOME THAT PASTOR FREDERICK HAYNES III IS GETTING IN ON THIS CONGRESSIONAL RACE!!! HE SEEMS LIKE A REALLY PASSIONATE AND DEDICATED FOLK WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THE COMMUNITY. I LOVE HOW HE'S TAKING ON ISSUES LIKE ENDING US MILITARY SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL AND REGULATING CRYPTO - IT'S TIME FOR SOME CHANGE IN WASHINGTON!!! AS AN OLDIE BUT GOODIE HIMSELF, AT 65, HE PROVES THAT AGE IS JUST A NUMBER AND YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. LETS HOPE HE GETS THE SUPPORT HE DESERVES FROM THE PEOPLE AND CAN BRING ABOUT REAL CHANGE!!! 🌟

Something fishy about this whole thing... first, Crockett vacates her seat, and then suddenly a pastor who's also the pastor at her church shows up? 🤔 I mean, what's the deal with that? And what's with Justice Democrats endorsing him out of nowhere? It sounds like they're trying to create another "Squad" member. And Haynes' stance on Israel and crypto is interesting... but isn't he a bit too smooth? Like he's being coached or something? 😏 I'm not saying I don't think he's genuine, but you can't help but wonder if there's more to this story than meets the eye... 🤞

🤔 This pastor dude seems like a breath of fresh air, you feel? I mean, he's got the progressive vibe going on, talking about regulating crypto and ending military support for Israel. And his church is already doing some great community work, hosting a legal clinic and whatnot.

But at the same time, I'm not sure if he's really qualified for Congress just yet... I mean, 65? That's like ancient in politician years 😂. Still, it's cool to see someone from outside the party coming in to shake things up. Maybe this is exactly what the Democrats needed - a fresh perspective.

I'm curious to see how his campaign plays out, though. The Squad is getting involved, which might help him out... or hurt him, depending on who you ask 🤷‍♂️. Either way, it's gonna be interesting to watch this one unfold!
