Holiday performances fill Stockton’s December schedule

Stockton University's Performing Arts Center is gearing up for a festive December schedule, boasting an array of musical performances, dance shows, and seasonal entertainment.

The month kicks off with a Hanukkah celebration on December 7. The LeeVees will take the mainstage at 2 p.m., blending humor and high-energy tracks from their album "Chanukah Rocks." That evening, Stockton's annual Holiday Choral Concert gets underway at 7 p.m., featuring singers from the university's various choral ensembles.

A holiday tradition is back in town with three performances of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" on December 12 and 13. The Atlantic City Ballet brings its own brand of magic to the stage, with shows at 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. (with a special student matinee performance at 10:30 a.m.).

For those looking for some festive tunes, Natalie Conte takes center stage on December 14 at 2 p.m., performing "Gesu Bambino" and "O Holy Night." The event also features several carol singalongs to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

The season wraps up with Ed Vezinho & the Jim Ward Big Band paying tribute to the music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on December 15. Their annual show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Theatre, offering a fun night of festive tunes and entertainment.

Ticket prices vary by performance, so be sure to check the university's website or contact the box office for more information.

omg i love this time of year 😊 the performing arts center is always so magical this time of year, it feels like the whole town comes together to celebrate 🎄 can't wait for Natalie Conte's performance on dec 14! her voice gives me chills every time 💕 and ed vezinho's big band show sounds like such a blast 🎶 i'm totally going to check out some of those tchaikovsky shows too, who needs the movie when you have live ballet? 🤩

omg i'm literally getting chills thinking about all these holiday performances 🎄🎶 u know what's crazy? every year stockton uni puts on this amazing christmas concert and it gets me in the mood so early! 🤣 they have such a great lineup this year too, from The LeeVees to Natalie Conte & Ed Vezinho. i'm thinking of getting tix for "The Nutcracker" though, who doesn't love Tchaikovsky? 🎅️ and can we talk about how much i love holiday music? it's like the one thing that brings everyone together in a festive spirit! ❤️

I gotta say, I'm not loving this whole Hanukkah vs Christmas thing 🤷‍♂️. I mean, why can't we just celebrate all holidays at once? It feels like we're already so caught up in our own traditions that it's hard to appreciate the others. Plus, with all these performances and concerts lined up, it's gonna be tough for people who don't feel like celebrating the holidays to even enjoy a show without feeling left out 🎅.

And don't even get me started on how commercialized everything is becoming 🤑. I mean, we're already at the point where you can pay good money to go see some dude sing "Gesu Bambino" in December... it just feels like the holiday season has lost its magic 🤔.

Sounds like Stockton University's Performing Arts Center is going all out for the holiday season! 🎄 They've got a pretty cool lineup with everything from Hanukkah celebrations to Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" and even some festive tunes by Natalie Conte. I'm not sure if they're going to fill the Campus Center Theatre on December 15, but Ed Vezinho & the Jim Ward Big Band always bring some fun energy to their performances. I wish more people would take advantage of these events since it seems like a great way to get into the holiday spirit 🎅

I remember when they used to have live carol singalongs at the mall 🎄. It was always so much fun! Now it seems like everyone's got their own holiday playlist 📻. Still, can't complain about all the festive options in Stockton - Natalie Conte's gonna bring the soulful vibes on Dec 14 🕊️. And that Atlantic City Ballet thing? Sounds fancy schmancy 😎. I'm old enough to remember when "The Nutcracker" was just a holiday classic... not some over-produced spectacle 🎭. Anyway, looks like they're bringing back the magic for this December line-up ⭐️!
