Horror game Horses has been banned from sale – but is it as controversial as you'd think?

🤔 I mean, come on... people are getting worked up over a game that's literally just trying to make you feel uncomfortable? I remember playing Metal Gear Solid back in the day and it was like, whoa, this is deep stuff. The whole "video games as art" conversation was already there, but now it seems like everyone's an expert on what's okay to say... or not.

And don't even get me started on the graphics. Minimalist? That's just a fancy way of saying "we couldn't afford to make it look pretty". I played some games with worse graphics and they were still way more entertaining than this one. But hey, if people are having an existential crisis over it, that's their prerogative.

I think the real issue here is not what's in the game, but what it's making people think about. And let's be honest, Horses is a conversation starter. It's like the video game equivalent of a provocative art installation at a gallery. You're gonna love it or hate it, and that's exactly what the devs were going for.

Anyway, I'm curious to play it now just to see if all the fuss is worth it 😏

🤔 I gotta say, I'm kinda curious about this game now. I mean, it sounds crazy, but at the same time, it's got me thinking... like, shouldn't we be exploring these weird topics in media and art? It's not like they're just gonna magically appear in a casual conversation with no controversy around them. And honestly, censorship can be super problematic too - like, if everyone's just gonna shut down any game that dares to tackle something "taboo", then we won't ever really have those hard conversations. The graphics might be minimalist, but I think that's part of the point - they're not trying to sugarcoat anything. So yeah, I'm kinda glad this game is sparking all this conversation... even if it is frustrating at times 😒👎

🤔 gotta say, this whole Horses debacle has got me thinking... censoring art based on "community guidelines" feels like a slippery slope 🏔️. What's considered acceptable content changes over time and varies by region. I mean, is it really that different from having a conversation about a sensitive topic in real life? 😐 The fact that the devs didn't get any specifics on what was problematic just adds to the whole "censorship" narrative 📝. And you're right, this whole thing has sparked some interesting conversations about video games as art... but can we have an honest discussion without jumping straight to censorship? 🤷‍♂️

idk why ppl are gettin all worked up over this game lol it's just a guy workin on a farm with "horses" that r actually people 🤣 but seriously tho, whats wrong with pushin boundaries in art? didnt we used to make stuff way more explicit in films and literature back in the day? now its all about bein "sensitive" and not offendin anyone 🙄 maybe its time ppl just learn to take a joke
