ICE’s Private Prison Contractors Spent Millions Lobbying to Force Banks to Give Them Loans

omg u guys i just heard about this like super shady stuff going on with these huge private prisons companies core civic & geo group they're literally trying to strong-arm banks into giving them money by claiming it's about "risk-based analysis" lol yeah right civil liberties ppl are hella skeptical and rightfully so they think its a sneaky way 4 them 2 expand their operations & keep profiting off exploiting ppl in detention centers i mean we r already dealing w/ record-high numbers of immigration detainees and if these companies get what they want it'll be a total disaster

OMG GUYS!!! 🤯 this is like totally insane!!!! so these 2 major companies in the private prison industry are trying to bribe Congress with millions of dollars to get them to pass a law that would make it harder for banks to cut ties with them! meanwhile, we're talking about people who are already being treated like crap in detention centers all over the US 🤕 and these 2 companies just want to keep making money off their suffering 💸 it's like they think the system is rigged against them or something 🙄 newsflash: it kinda is!!! 😒

🤔 I'm so done with these corporations thinking they can buy their way into power! $3.3 million and $3.5 million? That's just crazy talk! And now they're trying to spin this law as some kind of "consumer advocacy"? Give me a break! 🙄 It's all about lining their pockets and making more money off the backs of marginalized communities.

I need to see some real proof that this law is going to make a difference, not just some fancy lobbying numbers. And what's really up with JPMorgan Chase being frozen out? Are they afraid of doing business with these companies because of public pressure? 🤷‍♂️ It's all about accountability, folks! The market should be able to regulate itself without corporations trying to buy their way into it.

We need more transparency and less corporate loopholes. This whole thing stinks like rotten fish 🐟. If we want real change, we need to start asking the tough questions and holding these corporations accountable for their actions. 💪
