If the Eagles want to drive their Tank more, Saquon Barkley welcomes it

Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni Faces Tough Decision with Saquon Barkley's Usage Rate

The Philadelphia Eagles' decision to limit the usage rate of their star running back, Tank Bigsby, has been a topic of discussion among fans and analysts alike. Despite averaging nearly six yards per carry, Bigsby was given the ball just 16% of the time, which is significantly lower than other top backup running backs in the league.

Bigsby's usage rate is comparable to that of Bills backup Ray Davis and Ravens backup Keaton Mitchell, with only Jonathan Taylor's backup DJ Giddens seeing less action. The disparity between Bigsby's potential and his actual usage has led many to wonder if the Eagles are not utilizing their asset to its full potential.

However, Saquon Barkley seems unconcerned about the lack of carries for Bigsby. In a recent interview at his locker clean-out, Barkley stated that he is "all about winning football games" and will support the team's decision if it means more opportunities for the Tank.

Barkley himself has seen an increase in usage as he approaches 30 years old. The veteran running back averaged more touches per game than league counterpart Derrick Henry, who is known for his durability. However, Barkley had to earn his yards harder this season due to increased contact and hits behind the line of scrimmage.

As Barkley's playing days dwindle, it becomes increasingly important for the Eagles to maximize Bigsby's potential. With someone as talented as Bigsby on the roster, it might be worth exploring more ways to utilize him in key games.

While it remains to be seen whether coach Nick Sirianni will increase Bigsby's usage rate, one thing is clear: the Tank has the skills to make a significant impact for the Eagles.

I think the Eagles should be playing more with Tank Bigsby already 🤔. I mean, Saquon Barkley might be trying to be a leader and all that but at some point he's gotta think about the bigger picture - getting his backup some real game time. 16% of carries is not gonna cut it if you want Bigsby to make an impact. What if this is just a case of coaching or team strategy? We'll never know unless Sirianni opens up 🤷‍♂️

i think its weird that theyre not using bigbsy more often, he's got the skills to take games over like saquon but at the same time idk how much he'll be able to handle the load as tank gets older... maybe sirianni knows whats best and will play it safe?

I'm like totally stoked about Saquon Barkley being all about winning and supporting his teammates 🤝. I mean, it's great that he's not making a big deal about Tank Bigsby not getting enough carries. But, you know, as much as I love Barkley's attitude, I think the Eagles need to make sure they're utilizing their assets to get wins 💪. And with Bigsby being super talented, I'm rooting for them to find ways to give him more touches in key games ⚽️. Coach Sirianni needs to figure out a way to balance the usage of their RBs so they can get that W 🏆!

Ugh 🤯 this is so frustrating, like what even is going on with that team? Can't they just play Bigsby already?! 😩 I mean I get it, Saquon's been there and done that, but Tank's got talent pouring out of every pore 💧. And don't even get me started on how low his usage rate is 📉 it's like he's some kinda benchwarmer! 🤦‍♂️

🤔 I think the Eagles are being kinda safe with Bigsby's usage rate 🤷‍♂️. If Saquon Barkley is okay with it and wants to focus on winning, that's cool 😊. But honestly, who wouldn't want to see Bigsby getting more opportunities? The guy is a beast on the field 💥! The problem is, coaches gotta make tough decisions and weigh what's best for the team 🤝. If they think Tank can help them in key games, that's all that matters ⚽️. Let's just hope they can figure it out before Bigsby's playing days are over 👀.

I think its kinda weird that Bigsby gets so few touches when hes averaging like 6 yards per carry. Shouldnt the eagles just let him shine more? I mean, Saquon's all about winning and stuff but what if he was on the team with Bigsby? Would they still be giving Bigsby so little to do? 🤔

I'm so curious about why Coach Sirianni is being so conservative with Bigsby's carries 🤔💡. On paper, the guy's stats are insane! And it's not like Barkley is taking issue with it, which makes me think maybe there's something we're missing. As a fan, I want to see more of that talent shine through on game day ⚽️. The Eagles have one of the best rosters in the league and they need to get Bigsby involved more often if he wants to reach his full potential 📈. Coach Sirianni needs to find ways to make it work, especially with Barkley's playing days coming to an end 🕰️.

I gotta say, I'm loving the vibe of Saquon Barkley right now 😊👍 He's all about putting the team first and wanting to win those games! That's what it's all about, you know? 🏈 But at the same time, I gotta wonder if they're making the most of Tank Bigsby's talents... he's got some serious skills on the field 💪. It's like, imagine what could happen if they start giving him more carries in key games 🤔? The possibilities would be lit 🔥! Coach Nick Sirianni needs to figure out how to maximize Bigsby's potential and let that talent shine through 💫.
