Jess Cartner-Morley: this season, your jeans should be stiff, smart and straight

I mean, smart jeans are literally the key to looking put together... but only if you pair them with something way more basic than I'd want to wear 🤷‍♀️. Like, have you seen those new straight-leg styles? They're so last season 😒. And don't even get me started on the whole "good tailoring is essential" thing – that's just a fancy way of saying "it's all about the fit, duh". I mean, who doesn't love a good pair of jeans that fits like a dream? But if you're gonna go for that, then shouldn't you add some actual style to it? Like, a bold lip color or something? 🤔

And omg, have you seen those new trainers they're pairing with their outfits? So extra 😂. I mean, wouldn't a pair of loafers or even just sneakers be way more low-key? But hey, if you want to make a statement, go for it! Just don't expect me to follow suit anytime soon 👠.

I don’t usually comment but I have to say that smart jeans are really underrated . I mean, they're not just for casual events anymore, you can totally dress them up and make them look super chic. I think it's all about the fit and how you style them with other pieces. A good pair of jeans can take an outfit from basic to boss. And don't even get me started on how versatile shoes are - loafers, trainers, or high heels can totally transform a look. It's like, why settle for boring when you can make a statement with the right accessories? 😎

I'm like, totally sold on these smart jeans, but only if they're made from sustainable denim 🌱... wait, no, that's not true - I've seen some super cool eco-friendly brands out there and I'm all about trying them out! But, honestly, who needs sustainable when you can just get a pair of perfectly tailored ones? Rigid denim is where it's at, trust me 🙅‍♂️... unless they're too tight, then no thanks. A classic leather belt is a must, but only if it's from that one brand that's always on trend... or is it the one that's always out of style? 😂 Anyway, shoes make all the difference - I love me some chunky loafers, but only if they're not too bulky... unless they are, then they're perfect! 😅
