Leading law firm cuts London back-office staff as it embraces AI

🤔 its about time someone talks about ai in the office not just coding and research stuff but whole other things like scheduling meetings and contract review can be automated and it makes sense that firms are looking for ways to cut costs but what about all those people who dont have AI skills 🤷‍♂️

anyway i think its interesting how companies are adapting to this new landscape some firms might struggle to keep up with the demand for ai engineers while others might find more efficient ways to use the tech like pwc is trying to do 💡 but what about the people who will be left behind and how will they cope 🤝

AI's influence on law firms is not surprising 🤖. Companies want more productivity without breaking the bank 💸. It's all about efficiency now. But what about people? We're talking about 50 roles made redundant 😔. I get that some tasks can be automated, but coding and contract review aren't exactly tasks you can teach a robot to do on its own 🤦‍♀️. Skilled engineers are still in high demand though 💼. What's worrying is the impact on office jobs. Firms need to think about what they want to achieve with AI – just to keep up or actually improve things? 🤔

AI is literally changing everything! I mean, I get it, firms need to stay ahead, but 50 roles made redundant? That's like, a lot of people losing their jobs 🤕. At the same time, I'm all for innovation and efficiency - if companies can use AI to streamline processes and make things better, then that's awesome! But we gotta make sure we're not leaving anyone behind 🙏. Those skilled AI engineers are gonna be in high demand, so maybe that's an opportunity for some folks? 💻

🤖 This AI revolution is really changing the game, isn't it? 📈 I mean, it's no surprise that firms are automating tasks to stay ahead, but 10% fewer staff employed? That's some serious restructuring going on! 💼 And what's with all these companies rethinking their recruitment targets? Are they not prioritizing workers over profit margins anymore? 😒 The government needs to step in here and create some guidelines for AI adoption. We can't just let companies decide how many jobs are 'necessary' based on productivity gains. It's a slippery slope, folks! 🚨
