Local Man Found Murdered in West Loop Residence
A lifeless body of a 54-year-old man was discovered with multiple stab wounds inside his home on Saturday afternoon. The victim, identified as Brant Dykehouse by the Cook County medical examiner's office, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
According to authorities, police responded to an emergency call about 1 p.m. in the 700 block of West Jackson Boulevard in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Upon arrival, they found the unresponsive man, and after investigation, it became clear that his death was a result of fatal stabbing.
The victim had multiple stab wounds at the time of discovery. Despite efforts to revive him, Brant Dykehouse was declared dead. Authorities have yet to take anyone into custody in connection with the murder. The Area 3 detectives are currently leading the investigation and seeking leads on the case.
