A 45-year-old man's life was cut short when multiple bullets rained down on him, leaving him writhing in agony on a West Garfield Park sidewalk. The Chicago Police Department received a late-night tip about a shooting on Friday and rushed to the scene at approximately 3800 block of West Adams.
What they found was a grim sight: an unresponsive man lying on the ground. Despite efforts to revive him, Carl McDonald's injuries were too severe, and he succumbed to his wounds at Mount Sinai Hospital, leaving authorities scrambling for answers. The Cook County medical examiner later confirmed McDonald's passing, but so far, no suspects have been apprehended.

Honestly, can't we just get a moment's peace around here? One minute it's a late-night tip, next thing you know there's some poor dude lying on the sidewalk, bleeding out. It's like watching a real-life video game, but not in a cool way. 
I mean, what's the point of even having police if they can't even get to the scene before... well, whatever happened? 
The whole thing just feels so avoidable, you know? 
Man what a tragedy!! Can't even imagine bein in their shoes. Chicago Police Department gotta step up their game, it's like they're reactin slow. 
People need to look out for each other, you know? And the fact that they still don't have any leads on who did this is just frustrating
