Meta is spending millions to convince people that data centers are cool and you like them

I'm not surprised they're trying to spin this story but still, it's kinda shady that they're using community events and jobs to distract from the fact that their data centers are like, super power-hungry 🌟... I mean, $6.4 million is a small price to pay for a PR stunt. And have you seen those ads? They make it seem like Meta's just bringing life back to these towns, but what about the carbon footprint? It's all about appearances, folks 📺

I'm like literally so over this! Meta thinks they can just spin this whole data center thing as all positive and people will buy it? Like, no way! I mean I get that jobs are important but at what cost? Our planet is literally crying out for help right now and these companies just keep pumping out carbon emissions left and right 🤯. And don't even get me started on the water use - Iowa and New Mexico are already struggling with droughts, we can't afford to drain those resources any further 💧. Can't they see that this is all about profit over people and the planet? It's just not cool, you know? 🤷‍♀️ And what's up with these ads trying to make data centers sound like some sort of utopia? Like, we all know how it really goes down - noise pollution, traffic, and disruption to local communities 😒. Can't companies just be honest about the impact they're having instead of making it out to look like everything is sunshine and rainbows?
