MN GOP gubernatorial candidate Lisa Demuth talks priorities at tour stops

omg i'm literally shipping Lisa Demuth rn she's like my ultimate girl boss i mean have you seen her leadership skills as house speaker? demuth is all about promoting an "all-of-Minnesota approach" which is like, exactly what we need right now! she's not just talking the talk, she's walking the walk too - her campaign has already shown some major gains and i'm low-key obsessed with her fiscal responsibility plans

I'm not sure if Lisa Demuth's vision for Minnesota sounds too good to be true . I mean, strengthening the economy and improving education sound like great goals, but we've been hearing those promises before from politicians and they haven't always followed through. And what about addressing the high tax burden and poor literacy rates? That's gonna take more than just a few talking points, you know?

I also think it's interesting that Demuth is criticizing Governor Tim Walz for spending the state's budget surplus in 2023 . If she's really committed to fiscal responsibility, shouldn't she be calling out her own party members for overspending too? It seems like a bit of hypocrisy to me .

That being said, I do think Demuth has some good ideas and her experience as a state legislator and House Speaker is definitely an asset. But we need to see more concrete plans and less empty promises from politicians before we start getting too excited .
