Nintendo announces its Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 sale: Switch 2 bundles, Switch game deals, accessories and more

Nintendo has just announced its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for 2025, but fans of the company's iconic console won't be thrilled to know that there aren't many "deals" to be had on the highly anticipated Switch 2. Typically, Nintendo only offers console bundles during holiday shopping season, with prices ranging from $449 to $499, depending on whether you opt for a base model or one bundled with a popular game like Mario Kart World.

While this year's sale might not bring the massive discounts that some fans are hoping for, there are still ways to score great value. For instance, if you're looking to get your hands on a Switch 2 before the year is out, consider purchasing a console bundle with a new or existing game – in this case, the Pokémon Legends: Z-A title.

When it comes to gaming deals, select retailers will offer discounts on physical Nintendo Switch games starting on November 23. Some titles, like Princess Peach: Showtime!, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Luigi's Mansion 3, will be available for $40, while others, such as Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo Switch Sports, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Splatoon 3, will cost $30.

Nintendo fans also have plenty of gift options to choose from during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Engadget's Sam Rutherford recently attended a holiday showcase at Nintendo, where he got to see a range of collectibles, clothing items, plush toys, and even holiday decorations that are sure to delight fans. From Zelda-themed accessories to Mario-inspired gifts, there's something for everyone on this list.

Of course, for those die-hard collectors or fans who want to indulge in some retro gaming goodness, Metroid Prime 4 is set to release early December, making it the perfect companion piece for the new console. And if you're a fan of Kirby, now's your chance to get your hands on a cozy backpack or beanie that'll make him feel right at home.

Lastly, don't forget about Amazon, where some great deals are already available on various Nintendo items – like Lego sets, plushies, and even a Kirby-themed nifty little backpack.

😂👀💸 "Switch 2 no discounts? no problem! 🤣 just get a bundle with Pokémon Legends: Z-A and you're golden 💎" 🚀💻 [GIF of a person doing a surprised face]

I'm kinda expecting this from Nintendo 🤷‍♂️. They know their fans love the Switch 2 but aren't willing to break the bank just yet. Still, those Pokémon games are gonna be sweet deals 🎮. And if you're a collector, Metroid Prime 4 can't come soon enough 💻. Anything less than that and it's not really Black Friday...

man, you know what's wild is how we're all so caught up in getting the latest console that we forget to appreciate the joy of gaming itself 🤯. it's not just about the Switch 2 or Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but about the experiences and memories we make while playing these games with friends and family.

and have you ever stopped to think about how much value we place on "deals" in the first place? is it really worth stressing ourselves out over a few dollars off a console? 🤑 or are there other ways to save money, like just buying what we need and enjoying our gaming time without breaking the bank?

and then there's this whole culture around collecting consoles and merchandise... what does that say about us as gamers and as people? do we really need all these physical trinkets to feel fulfilled, or is it just a way for companies to make more money 💸?

u no how i feel about this black friday sale 🤔... i mean its cool that they're offering discounts on physical games & some sweet accessories for fans... but those switch 2 bundles r just gonna be pricier than usual 😐... and like, $30 off super mario odyssey? thats not really a deal in my book 💸... plus u gotta consider the prices of all these new games coming out soon... its def still a good time to cop some stuff for friends/family but as a die hard nintendo fan myself, id rather just wait till the next gen is out and see what they have in store 🤞

Ugh, come on Ninty? Not even a decent discount on the Switch 2? I mean, I know people were hyped for this thing but still, some love, right? 🙄 But hey, at least they're giving us some sweet deals on games and merch. $40 off Princess Peach: Showtime?! Yes, please! 👑 And have you seen those Kirby gifts? That cozy backpack is giving me all the feels 😊. Metroid Prime 4 is also coming soon, which is a solid bonus. Now if they'd just give us some crazy discounts on those bundles... 🤑

I'm soooo hyped about these Black Friday sales lol! I mean, who doesn't love a good deal on Nintendo gear? 🤑 The fact that they're offering discounts on physical games is a major win in my book - 40 bucks for Princess Peach: Showtime? No brainer! And can we talk about how excited I am to get my hands on some Zelda-themed accessories? I'm all about that merch life 💎. Plus, with Metroid Prime 4 coming out soon, it's the perfect excuse to cop a new console bundle and be ready for the release 🚀. Bring on the savings and the gaming goodness!

omg i'm so hyped for the Black Friday sales!!! 🤩 not that i care about "deals" or anything lol, but its always lit to see what new goodies nintendo has in store for us! 💥 those bundle deals with pokemon legends are a no brainer btw, who wouldn't want that adorable zeraora on their switch 2? 🐉 and omg the gift options?!?! i need those zelda-themed accessories like yesterday, where can i get them?!?! 😂 and can we pls talk about how amazing it is that metroid prime 4 is dropping early december?!?! 💥 its gonna be a crazy holiday season! 🎄

I'm kinda stoked about this Black Friday sales thingy 🎉... but also kinda bummed that there aren't any crazy discounts on the Switch 2 😐. I mean, who doesn't want to save some cash? But at the same time, buying a console bundle with a new or existing game isn't so bad, especially if you're a Pokémon fan like me 🤩... unless you don't wanna spend that much money 🤑.

And honestly, gaming deals are pretty cool, I guess 😎. Some games are on sale for 40 bucks, which is still kinda steep in my book 💸. But hey, if you're into Princess Peach: Showtime! or The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, go for it 🤷‍♀️... but not so sure about Super Mario Odyssey 😐.

Gift options are pretty sweet tho 👍... especially the collectibles and plush toys 💕. I mean, who wouldn't want a Zelda-themed accessory or a cozy Kirby beanie? 😊 But Metroid Prime 4 is coming out in early December, which makes me kinda excited 🤔... but also kinda worried that it'll just get lost in all the other games 🤷‍♂️.

Amazon's got some decent deals too 👀... like Lego sets and plushies, which are always a good idea 😊. But, idk, maybe I'm just being overly skeptical 🤔. Maybe this Black Friday sales thingy will surprise me after all 😮... or maybe not 🙅‍♂️

Ugh, I mean, it's Black Friday already 🙄? I'm still trying to process the fact that no one is offering any massive discounts on the Switch 2. Like, come on Nintendo, can't you give us some love this holiday season? I swear, I've been eyeing that Pokémon Legends game for ages and now I'll just have to shell out full price 🤑.

On the bright side, I'm loving the other deals that are available - $40 off Princess Peach: Showtime! is a great score in my book 💸. And those Zelda-themed accessories? Yes, please 👏. But, seriously, can't we get some more substantial discounts on consoles and games? It's just not feeling like Black Friday to me 🤔. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and spend my money...
