NYC, NJ digging out from snow, with 'debilitating' cold for days ahead

🌨️ This snowstorm has taken its toll on NYC, especially for those who are struggling to get around. The icy conditions are a real concern, and officials should've started warning people about the potential dangers of hypothermia a bit earlier. Still, it's good that they're pushing outreach teams to connect homeless New Yorkers with essential services.

The transit system is still recovering, but I'm not surprised it's taking time - these old systems can't handle snowstorms easily. Garbage collection delays are no joke, especially when you've got people living in shelters and need basic necessities.

On the bright side, schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels is being pretty on-point about remote learning, so at least that part is going smoothly for most students 📚. We just gotta be patient and wait for the city to get back on track. It's not ideal, but New Yorkers are used to dealing with crazy weather conditions - we'll get through this!

Ugh, I'm so over all this cold weather! 🥶 Back in my day, we didn't have all these fancy storm warnings and whatnot. We just bundled up and got on with it. Remember when you could see your breath in the morning? That was a sign that winter had arrived! Now, everyone's walking around with masks on their face, worrying about germs and stuff. Just let us enjoy some fresh air already! 🌬️

Ugh I'm so worried about those homeless people 🤕, like they're already struggling and now it's super cold outside? 170 people in shelters is crazy enough, but 8 deaths from hypothermia?! That's just heartbreaking 😔. And can you imagine trying to log onto school online with a storm raging outside?! My friends had trouble too 📊, I feel for those parents who are stressing about their kids' classes 💕. Snowstorms are bad enough, but the cold is like, a whole other story ❄️.
