NYPD releases video showing police shooting 22-year-old man in mental health crisis

I'm worried about this case... 🤕 The fact that they released the graphic video so quickly feels a bit insensitive, you know? I mean, isn't there a more thoughtful way to handle something like this? The police union is saying the officers acted professionally, but what does 'professional' even mean in a situation like this? It's not just about following procedure, it's about using common sense and empathy. And what really gets me is that they're making a big deal about Chakraborty's mental health diagnosis, but where was that when he was actually being shot?! 🤔

This just breaks my heart 💔, can't believe that kid was shot for having a mental health crisis 🤯 in his own home. What would make him pick up a knife at first? Was he really a threat to himself and others? I feel so sorry for his family who already had to deal with this traumatic experience 😩... the police union is just trying to cover their backsides, don't they see that the system failed Jabez 🤷‍♀️? Maybe they should've sent someone trained in mental health crisis to help him instead of shooting him 💔.

I'm just shocked 🤯 that these cops thought it was okay to shoot some guy who's having a mental health crisis. I mean, what if they just wanted to make an example out of him? 🤷‍♂️ The fact that the family called 911 for help and got police instead of actual emergency responders is crazy 😲. And now we get to see the "graphic" video, which is basically just gonna be some dude being shot in the kitchen. Whoop-de-doo 👎. I'm not buying the whole "difficult circumstances" thing from the union, either. It's just another case of cops getting away with using excessive force 💔.

I don’t usually comment but I feel like this video is super unsettling 🤕. The guy looks so calm and then suddenly he’s being shot... it's just crazy to watch. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but it does seem like a lot of things went wrong from the start? Like, why did they show up instead of emergency responders who were supposed to help with his mental health crisis? 🤔 And what was with all those questions about his immigration status? That just feels super insensitive and unnecessary 😒. I don’t know what the investigation will find, but it’s definitely not looking good for the NYPD right now 💔. Maybe they should just stick to patrolling the streets instead of handling mental health emergencies? 🚫
