! I've been looking forward to it all week. The extra security is a bit much, tbh... like, we get it, NYC is big and crazy, but have they considered just having more volunteers or something? Instead of deploying thousands of cops, why not train some civilians in basic crowd control?

! I get why you'd wanna feel secure, especially with so many people gathering in one spot. But gotta say, all that security might make it a bit more of an event than usual 
. Like, are they really gonna block off Central Park West to two-and-a-half miles? A few barricades here and there is fine, but do we need the whole NYPD on duty?
