I'm not buying it... all these record-breaking nominations and I still think it's just a bunch of hype. "KPop Demon Hunters" is just a movie because K-pop became trendy, you know? Not because it actually deserves to be recognized by the Oscars. And 14 nominations for Spielberg? that's just his legacy trying to keep up with itself 
. Timothée Chalamet has talent, I'll give him that... but 3 Best Actor nominations in a row? come on... there's gotta be some rigging going on 
But I gotta wonder, is this newfound focus on diversity and inclusion really a result of intentional efforts or just a result of the current zeitgeist? 
Also, can we talk about how the K-pop genre finally getting its due recognition in the Oscars is still kinda underwhelming for me... I mean, it's cool that "Golden" made the cut, but is this just the beginning of the 'K-pop sweep' or will other genres catch up?
