Papers Please but with zombies, a farming-based shoot-'em-up and other new indie games worth checking out

Several indie games have recently been released, and we're excited to introduce you to some of them.

First off, there's 'Quarantine Zone: The Last Check', a farming-based shoot-'em-up that puts a zombie twist on the classic 'Papers Please' gameplay. You play as a checkpoint operator during a zombie outbreak, where your mission is to screen survivors for signs of infection. If you're unsure, you can send them for further observation or screening, or let them in โ€“ all while armed with a sidearm and drone.

Another game worth checking out is 'Air Hares', a 3D top-down shoot-'em-up inspired by classic games from the 90s. You play as a young frog trying to find airship parts for its kidnapped friend. The gameplay involves firing seeds and water to restore fertile carrot fields, while also dodging enemies in boss battles.

'Air Hares' has been created by husband-and-wife team Tim and Megan Bungeroth over six years, with the help of several contributors. Their inspiration came from their personal journey with infertility and creating life rather than destroying it.

The game is now available on Steam for $9, with a 20% discount until January 28.

We also have 'Big Hops', a joyous and playful 3D platformer where you play as a young frog trying to find airship parts. The gameplay involves using your tongue to swing across gaps, hookshot platforms, and solve puzzles.

'Big Hopes' is out now on Steam for $20, with a 10% launch discount until January 19.

I'm loving the new indie games that are popping up ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ’ป. 'Quarantine Zone: The Last Check' sounds like an interesting mix of farming and zombie apocalypse vibes, kinda like what I'd expect from a survival game, but with a twist! ๐Ÿค” I think it's awesome how the creators drew inspiration from 'Papers Please' gameplay to create something unique.

I'm also intrigued by 'Air Hares', not just because it looks super colorful and fun ๐Ÿ˜Š, but also because of its personal significance. Creating games can be such a therapeutic outlet for people, and it's amazing that this husband-and-wife team was able to turn their experience with infertility into a game ๐ŸŒฟ.

As for 'Big Hops', I'm always up for some light-hearted platforming action ๐ŸŽ‰. The idea of using your tongue to swing across gaps sounds like so much fun! ๐Ÿ’ฆ With the 10% launch discount, it's a great time to check it out too ๐Ÿ˜„. Overall, I think these indie games are definitely worth checking out ๐Ÿ‘.

I'm so stoked to see more indie devs pushing the boundaries of game design ๐Ÿ’ป! I mean, 'Quarantine Zone: The Last Check' sounds like an amazing blend of farming and zombie-killing - who wouldn't want to play as a checkpoint operator during a zombie outbreak? ๐Ÿง  And can we talk about how cool it is that the devs behind 'Air Hares' drew inspiration from their personal experiences with infertility? It's awesome to see games being created by people coming from a place of vulnerability and passion ๐Ÿ’•. As for me, I'm already hyped to try out 'Big Hops' - that tongue-swinging mechanic sounds like so much fun ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™‚๏ธ!

I'm loving the new indie games out right now! ๐ŸŽฎ I've been playing 'Quarantine Zone: The Last Check' and it's so much fun! The zombie twist on 'Papers Please' is genius, I love how you have to make tough decisions about who to let in. ๐Ÿค” And 'Air Hares' has such a cute concept - I'm rooting for that little frog to find its friend! ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’• It's amazing to see games being made with personal experiences and passions, like the Bungeroths did with infertility and creating life instead of destroying it. That's what gaming is all about, right? ๐Ÿ’–

I'm so down for some new indie games! I just wish they were more chill like 'Air Hares', you know? It's so cute and fun, and the story behind it is really inspiring ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’•. The idea of a frog searching for airship parts to save its friend is just too adorable.

I've been playing 'Big Hops' though, and it's more like your average platformer, right? Still super fun tho! I love how you can use your tongue to swing across gaps, it's like having a built-in grappling hook ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I'm gonna check out 'Quarantine Zone: The Last Check' too, sounds like an interesting take on the 'Papers Please' gameplay. And 20% off for 'Air Hares' is a great deal! I might just have to treat myself to it ๐Ÿ˜Š.
