Police investigating homicide after shooting, large fire at San Bruno home

A shocking scene unfolded in San Bruno, California, Friday afternoon, leaving one man dead and a home reduced to ashes. According to police, the incident began at approximately 3 p.m. with a shooting investigation on Keefe Court near Rosewood Drive.

The victim, who has not been named, was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. However, authorities are still searching for the individual responsible for the shooting. Police have yet to disclose whether an arrest has been made or if the suspect was present inside the home when it caught fire.

A massive fire quickly engulfed the property, prompting a thorough evacuation of nearby residents. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during the ordeal. As the fire department works to ensure public safety, investigators will begin their criminal probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

San Bruno Police Department Chief Matt Lethin acknowledged that the community is shaken by this rare occurrence, stating, "San Bruno is a safe community, and events like this are extremely alarming." The department also revealed that they had no prior reports of issues at the residence in question.

As the investigation unfolds, officials will conduct a thorough examination of the home to piece together what led up to the tragic event. The police chief's reassurances to the community underscored the importance of working together with residents to maintain safety and order.

Man, this is so senseless ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, can't we all just get along? This guy lost his life over a stupid argument or whatever went down. And now that house is literally nothing but ashes... it's just devastating ๐Ÿ’”. I'm glad no one else got hurt, though - that's the biggest silver lining here.

I don't know what's going on with these shootings and fires lately, but it's getting crazy out there ๐Ÿš’. I just wish everyone could calm down and talk things through instead of resorting to violence or destroying property. And poor family... they're gonna be dealing with this loss for a long time ๐Ÿ˜”.

Anyway, gotta give props to the police and fire department - they're doing their best to figure out what happened and keep everyone safe ๐Ÿ™. Hopefully they can catch whoever did this and bring them to justice ๐Ÿ’ช. It's just so sad that it had to come to this...

omg just got outta a bad dream lol i cant believe sumone actually died in a shooting & fire combo that's straight crazy ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ how can somethin go from calm 2 flames in like 1 sec?? San Bruno dont deserve dis kinda drama either... hope the police catch the person ASAP so the fam of the victim can get some closure ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

omg u guys can u even believe wut happnd in san bruno tho?? ๐Ÿคฏ i'm still tryna process the whole thing... one guy shot & a whole house goes up in flames like is this some kinda crazy movie plot?! ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜ฑ anyway, my 2 cents is that it's super scary & disheartening to think about how quickly things can escalate into tragedy. but at the same time, i'm so grateful no one else got hurt... ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’• gotta send love to the fam of the guy who passed away too ๐Ÿ’”๐ŸŒŸ

Man... this is so crazy ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, a guy gets shot and then his house just goes up in flames? That's wild. You gotta feel bad for the family that lost their home and the person who died. The fact that it happened on Keefe Court, which is like, a pretty quiet street... makes you wonder if this was some kind of random act or if there was something going on beforehand ๐Ÿค”.

I'm glad no one else got hurt, but at the same time, it's still super scary to think about. The police are being super helpful and reassuring, which is good. I just hope they can figure out what happened and bring the person responsible to justice. It's times like these that make you realize how fragile life can be ๐Ÿ’”.

It's always sad when something like this happens, but it's also a reminder of the importance of community and working together to keep each other safe. Fingers crossed the investigators can get to the bottom of this ๐Ÿคž.

This is just another example of how quickly our communities can be turned upside down, you feel? It's like, we're always talking about gun control and mental health, but when it actually happens, what are we doing? The fact that the police had no prior issues at the residence doesn't necessarily mean they're not doing their job, but it does make us wonder, where were the red flags? And now this poor guy is dead, while others got lucky. It's like, how many times can we say "it could've happened to anyone" before we start questioning why these things happen in the first place? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘€

this is so sad ๐Ÿค•๐ŸŒŽ the fact that someone could just go into a house and set it on fire, leaving one person dead... ๐Ÿ˜” it's like, what even is the point? ๐Ÿ’ฅ and the cops are still searching for the person responsible, but they also said there were no issues at the residence before... ๐Ÿค” so who knew? ๐Ÿ™„ anyway, I'm just glad nobody else got hurt. 1/5 of this community was traumatized by this event... ๐ŸŒช๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ my friend drew a little diagram to illustrate how fast the fire spread:
```
it's like, crazy fast! โƒ๏ธ
man this is so sad ๐Ÿค• fire can be super unpredictable and it's crazy how quickly things escalated in that situation ๐Ÿ”ฅ also kinda weird that cops had no prior issues at the house, hopefully they'll find out what really went down ๐Ÿ’ก anyway gotta feel for the family who lost their home and loved one ๐Ÿ˜”
๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‘€ this is so sad whats going on in the world lately ๐Ÿค• i cant believe another person lost their life due to a shooting its like our society is losing control ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’ we need to find ways to prevent these incidents from happening in the first place, like community programs and mental health support ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’ช maybe if we talk about our feelings more, we can avoid violent situations ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฌ
Just saw this crazy story about a shooting in San Bruno that ended with a house going up in flames... it's wild how quickly things escalated ๐Ÿคฏ. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt, but you can't help but wonder what led up to the shooter's decision. It's like, what were they thinking? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. And now the police are trying to figure out if it was all connected or just a random act of violence... ugh, my heart is still racing just thinking about it ๐Ÿ’”. I feel for the community over there, being shaken by this kind of thing... can't imagine how traumatic that must be ๐Ÿค•.
OMG, this is just so sad ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ˜” I mean, one minute you're going about your day and the next thing you know there's a shooting and a fire... it's just crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. I feel for the victim's family, no doubt they're going through an unimaginable time right now ๐Ÿ’”. And poor neighbors who had to evacuate their homes, can't imagine how stressful that must've been ๐Ÿคฏ. The fact that cops haven't caught the suspect yet is unsettling ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ, but at least nobody was seriously hurt, right? Fingers crossed they catch whoever did this ASAP ๐Ÿ‘
omg u no wut's goin on in cali rn?? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ thats so sad 4 that dude who lost his life n his home got reduced 2 ashes lol cant even imagine bein in tht situation ๐Ÿคฏ anyway, i feel bad 4 the fam & friends of the victim ๐Ÿ™ police r doin thier best 2 figger out wut happened n keep ppl safe ๐Ÿšจ hope tht they catch th suspect soon ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ also, san bruno is like a super safe place, u dont hear bout much crime ther ๐Ÿ’ฏ so it's really alarming 2 see dis happen ๐Ÿ‘€
๐Ÿค” Come on people, it's not that hard to get the facts straight. So, apparently, this guy got shot at his own home in San Bruno... sounds like a real mess ๐Ÿš’. I mean, I'm glad nobody else was hurt (that I know of), but seriously, how do you even end up with someone trying to kill you at your own place? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ The fire department is doing their thing, which is great, but let's not forget the shooter is still on the loose... or is he? ๐Ÿ” I mean, if authorities had no prior issues at the residence, what were they expecting exactly? It's just a weird situation all around. Let's hope whoever did this turns themselves in soon ๐Ÿคž.
I'm really feeling bad for that poor guy who lost his life, but I gotta say, the response from the authorities has been pretty on point ๐Ÿค. I mean, the police chief is being super open and honest about what's going down, and it's clear they're doing everything they can to keep everyone safe. It's not like they can predict these things, you know? And honestly, it's a little concerning that there are so many shootings happening in places like California, but I don't think we should be jumping to conclusions about the guy who lived there ๐Ÿ˜•. We need to give investigators time to get to the bottom of things and figure out what really happened. The community is shaken up for sure, but it's good that they're coming together to support each other ๐Ÿ’•.
omg this is such a shocking scene ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ i'm still trying to process what happened in san brunos latest tragedy. my heart goes out to the family and friends of the victim, it's just not fair ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ. the fact that a home was reduced to ashes like that is just devastating ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. i hope the police are able to find the person responsible for this and bring them to justice ASAP โฐ. it's so brave of the emergency responders who risked their lives to save others ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ’ช. let's all send our thoughts and prayers (if we feel comfortable doing so) to the community of san brunos ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•.
๐Ÿ˜’ just great, another crazy week in Cali... one thing about this whole situation tho, 3 p.m. on a Friday? Like, who even has plans at that time ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ? Guess it's just another reminder that even in the most seemingly normal places, crazy stuff can happen. And yeah, I'm sure it's super comforting to know that San Bruno is "a safe community" and we shouldn't be shaken by this whole thing ๐Ÿ˜. Priorities, right? Like, who needs a home and family when you've got 'safety' ๐Ÿ™„
๐Ÿค• just can't believe what happened in San Bruno, that must be super scaring for people who live there ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. It's crazy how fast that fire spread and I hope those first responders were able to get everyone out safely ๐Ÿ™. The police chief saying it's a safe community is definitely reassuring, but you know how hard it can be to figure out what happened in situations like this ๐Ÿ”. Hopefully they're able to catch the person responsible soon ๐Ÿš”. Anytime something like this happens it feels like such a shock and I'm sure those people are still trying to process everything ๐Ÿ’”.
OMG ๐Ÿคฏ just heard about this crazy situation in San Bruno, CA... one guy is dead and a whole house is GONE ๐Ÿ”ฅ! I'm so relieved no one else got hurt though, that's what matters most ๐Ÿ˜Œ. It's like, super scary when things happen like this - one minute you're living your life, the next there's a shooting and a fire ๐Ÿค•. The cops are still looking for the guy who did it, but they haven't caught him yet, thankfully ๐Ÿ’ช. I hope the police chief is right that San Bruno is a safe community, 'cause we need to stick together like that ๐ŸŒŸ. It's just so frustrating when something like this happens, you know? But at least everyone got out safely, right? Fingers crossed they catch the guy and bring him to justice soon ๐Ÿ’•!
Dude, can you believe this? One minute it's all chill in San Bruno, next thing you know, a dude is dead and his pad is gone up in smoke ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I mean, I guess that's what they say about California living, right? But seriously, my heart goes out to the victims' families. And can we talk about how crazy it is that no one got seriously hurt? It's like the universe was just chillin', watching the drama unfold ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘€ Anyway, I'm all for a good investigation and getting to the bottom of things, but let's hope they catch this suspect soon and bring some peace back to San Bruno ๐Ÿ˜Š.
