Rangers reveal £14.8m loss despite record revenues

Rangers' Financial Woes Eased, But Uncertainty Lingers.

The Scottish Premiership club has posted a loss of £14.8m in their accounts for the year ending June 2025, down from £17.2m in the previous period. Despite this, Rangers have achieved record revenues of £94.1m, up 7% from £88.3m.

Reduced operating expenses and improved profitability have helped to mitigate the loss. The club's annual accounts show an operating profit before player trading of £2.7m, compared to losses of £2m in 2023-2024 and £10.5m in 2022-23.

The news has sparked hopes that Rangers are on a path to financial stability after years of heavy losses. The club's new owners have invested significant funds into the business, which has helped to boost its cash reserves from just £1.7m to £30.5m.

However, despite this progress, Rangers' future remains uncertain. The club is still paying off debts incurred in previous seasons and has had four different managers since 2024, a period marked by turmoil and instability.

The appointment of new managers, including Danny Rohl and Barry Ferguson, may be an attempt to restore stability and build momentum for the team. But with financial woes still lingering, it remains to be seen whether Rangers can finally achieve long-term success and stability.

I'm not surprised that Rangers are making progress with their finances 🤑👍. It's been a tough road for them, but investing in the business has clearly paid off 💸. However, I do think it's gonna be hard for them to get back on track financially, given all the debt they still have to pay off 💸😬. Still, with some stability and good management (no pressure 😉), they might just make a comeback! The new managers seem like decent appointments, but we'll see how that goes 🤞. One thing's for sure, though - it's gonna be a bumpy ride until they get back on solid ground 😬

Ugh, think they're out of woods just yet... £14.8m loss still a big deal 🤕. And all that money from new owners just went into paying off debts? That's not exactly a sustainable business model, if you ask me 😒. And with 4 different managers already since '24... what's next? More turnover and less stability? It's like they're trying to reinvent the wheel over here 🔄. Not impressed with progress so far...

I'm so nervous about Rangers' future 🤞! I've been following them since I was a kid, and seeing them struggle financially is just heartbreaking 😔. I mean, their new owners have done a great job boosting the cash reserves, but what about the debt? £10m of that is still crippling them 💸. And four managers in two years? That's just crazy 🤯! Maybe this season will be the turning point for them, and we'll finally see some stability on the pitch 🏆. But until then, I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🙏

still think rangers need to work on their finances lol 🤔💸 they've made some progress but debt's still a major issue... hope new management can keep the club on track 👍💪

Ugh man I was just thinking about how our school's football team has been struggling financially too 🤦‍♂️. They've had to cut down on uniforms and field maintenance because of lack of funding 🏟️. It's crazy how Rangers is doing way better than our team, but at least they're trying to get their act together 💪. We need a similar turnaround in our school, you feel me? Maybe if we can just get some sponsors or attract more fans... 🤞

man its good 2 c rangers gettin back on track financially but i still got doubts bout their future 🤔🏃‍♂️ they gotta sort out those debt issues ASAP & stabilize the team thats been goin thru so much turmoil since 2024 its a big ask to expect them 2 bounce back wit new managers comin & go but hey rangers fans deserve 2 be hopeful, u kno? 💕

I'm a bit skeptical about this progress they're making 💸. Don't get me wrong, improved profitability is a good sign, but 4 different managers since 2024 is crazy 🤯! And they still have debt to pay off... it's like, can't they just get their act together for once? 🙄 But I guess that's the life of a football club - all highs and lows. Maybe this new management duo will be the one to bring some stability? 🤞 We'll see how it goes! ⚽

I'm not sure if they'll ever get that sorted out 🤔. All this money coming in but the debt's still looming over them...it's like being stuck in a cycle. They're making progress, don't get me wrong, but four managers in two years is wild 💥. Either they need to find someone who can keep them from imploding or they'll be back to square one in no time 🏃‍♂️.

Still a big mess at Ibrox 🤔. They're getting their finances in order but it's like trying to fix a leaky faucet - you gotta keep fixing it till the water stops coming out 😅. Four managers already, that's just crazy 💥. The new owners are throwing money around which is good but they need to get this team settled down. It's all about consistency now 👊. Still hope they can turn it around though ⚽

I'm glad to see that Rangers have made some progress financially, but £14.8m loss is still a big number 💸🤔. It's like they're making good money, but still can't pay their bills on time 📝. And with four new managers in two years, I wonder if it's just a case of throwing cash at the problem to try and fix things 💸💪. What do you think is the root cause of all these changes? Is it just a bad run of luck or is there something more going on? 🤔

omg i'm so confused about football finances 🤔... like, £14.8m loss is a lot right? but also they made 94.1m in revenue? how does that work? 😂... and what's with all the managers since 2024? four of them? isn't that just gonna keep changing things around? 🔄... i feel like the club has some good luck with their new owners, huh? £30.5m cash reserves is a lot! 💸 but still gotta worry about those debts and stuff... maybe they can get it all sorted out soon? 🤞

I'm glad to see that Rangers are seeing a bit of improvement financially 🤑. A £14.8m loss is still a lot, but at least they're not hemorrhaging money like they were last season. The new owners have definitely put in some work to get the club's finances back on track 💸. But we can't just focus on the good news - those four manager changes since 2024 are concerning 🤯. It's like they're trying to keep things fresh, but what about consistency? And with all that debt still hanging over them, it's hard to see how they'll ever get out of the red ⚖️. Still, I suppose we should give Rangers some credit for stabilizing their finances - and maybe, just maybe, they can start building a bit of momentum on the pitch 🏆
