Resident, firefighter injured in Daly City house fire

A house fire in Daly City left one resident and a firefighter injured, with smoke inhalation reported for the affected resident. The blaze erupted on Tuesday morning at around 8:35 a.m. in the first block of Mateo Avenue.

Fire crews responded swiftly to put out the flames, however, they soon realized that the fire was more extensive than initially thought. The first floor of the two-story home was engulfed in heavy smoke and one bedroom caught fire, prompting firefighters to search the residence while extinguishing the blaze.

The aftermath revealed 11 residents displaced from their homes, as well as two cats, who received assistance from the American Red Cross.

Unfortunately for firefighter, an injury sustained during the rescue operation left them with a wounded knee. In contrast, the resident suffered from smoke inhalation and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway. With 11 residents forced out of their homes and a firefighter nursing an injured knee, the fire has undoubtedly had a profound impact on those affected by this incident.

Wow ๐Ÿ˜ฑ 11 people displaced from their homes ๐Ÿค• that's crazy! I feel bad for the firefighter who got hurt during the rescue mission ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ’‰ hope they recover soon. And poor kitty cats, glad the American Red Cross was there to help out ๐Ÿˆโค๏ธ smoke inhalation is super serious, good thing the resident got medical attention ASAP ๐Ÿ’Š. Can't wait to see what the investigation finds out about the cause of this fire ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘ฎ

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜ท Firefighters are literally the real MVPs ๐Ÿ’ช - can't even save themselves from their own team... ๐Ÿคฃ [image of a firefighter with a bandaged knee and a sad face] ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฆ 11 people out, 2 cats in... guess who's paying for those cat selfies now? ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜น

๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ˜ฑ just heard about that house fire in Daly City and it's crazy how quickly things escalated ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, 8:35 am and already firefighters are dealing with a blaze that spreads to the first floor ๐Ÿ’ฅ. And now we got 11 people displaced and an injured firefighter... ๐Ÿค• what's really going on? I hope they find out what caused it soon so those 11 families can get back into their homes ASAP ๐Ÿ‘. And poor cat victims getting Red Cross assistance ๐Ÿˆโค๏ธ - gotta say, this whole situation is just heart-wrenching ๐Ÿ˜”.

just had to take a minute to think about what's going on in our neighborhoods... fires can happen anywhere & it's crazy how quickly they can spread. i mean, we're talking smoke inhalation & injuries - that's not even the worst part. 11 people out of their homes? it's like, what even is the point of all this? we gotta make sure we're prioritizing fire safety & being super vigilant about those little things. no excuses for a house fire! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ’”

omg what's wrong with these people?! how can a house fire just happen in the middle of the day when everyone's awake? ๐Ÿคฏ i mean i know accidents happen but this is just crazy. and to think 11 ppl are displaced from their homes... that's so harsh. and poor firefighter, an injury like that could've been avoided if they had more training or equipment. and what about those 2 cats?! did anyone think of them when the fire started? ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿ˜• just heard about that house fire in Daly City and it's really concerning... 11 people have to be displaced from their homes ๐Ÿคฏ, that's not easy for anyone. Firefighter got injured too, that's scary ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. You'd think modern fire alarms would help prevent such incidents. What do you think? Should the city increase funding for fire safety measures and emergency preparedness? ๐Ÿ’ก

OH MY GOSH, THAT'S LIKE SUCH A HUGE DEAL FOR THOSE 11 FOLKS WHO LOST THEIR HOMES ๐Ÿค•!!! I MEAN, ON THE ONE HAND, IT'S SUPER GOOD THAT THE FIRE CREWS SHOWED UP FAST AND SAVED PEOPLE FROM GETTING SERIOUSLY HURT. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER IF NOBODY HAD TO GO THROUGH THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?! I FEEL FOR THE PERSON WHO GOT SMOKE INHALATION, THAT MUST HAVE BEEN SO SCARY ๐Ÿ˜ท. AND TWO CATS GOT ASSISTANCE FROM THE AMERICAN RED CROSS!!! THAT'S LIKE, SO CUTE BUT ALSO SO SAD AT THE SAME TIME ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜”

Man, that's so sad ๐Ÿค•... just imagine waking up to smoke in your own home! 8:35 am is like, crazy early for something like that. You'd think someone would have smelled it or noticed the flames before they started spreading so fast. Anyway, I'm glad the firefighters were able to get there quickly and put out the fire, but still, that firefighter's knee injury could've been way worse... and poor guy who got smoke inhalation, hope he recovers soon ๐Ÿคž. 11 people displaced from their homes? That's just devastating. The American Red Cross is doing a great job helping those cats too, I guess you could say they're the real heroes ๐Ÿ˜บ.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‘€ I'm still trying to wrap my head around how quickly the situation escalated in that house fire ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, 8:35 am and it's already getting intense ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. You'd think with modern smoke detectors and all that jazz, fires like this wouldn't happen so easily ๐Ÿ’”. I feel bad for those two cats who got displaced - I wish there were more resources available to help animals in emergencies ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’•.

And poor firefighter! A wounded knee is no joke ๐Ÿค•. It's great they're being taken care of though. The layout of that home doesn't seem too conducive to fire safety either... maybe it was just a freak accident, but still - 11 people and two cats displaced? That's crazy ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ฅ

man that's so sad ๐Ÿค•... i mean Daly City gets hit with fires all the time but you never think its gonna be your neighborhood ๐Ÿ˜”. i feel bad for those 11 families who just lost their homes, it's like losing a part of yourself. and poor firefighter, i hope they get back to work ASAP ๐Ÿ‘. smoke inhalation is no joke either, glad the resident got medical help on time ๐Ÿ™. investigation will probably find out what caused this fire, maybe something in the electrical system or just a careless mistake ๐Ÿ’ก. anyway, its good that the community came together to support those affected, and the American Red Cross did an awesome job helping out with the animals too ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’•. hope everything gets back to normal soon ๐ŸŒž

๐Ÿ˜ž This house fire in Daly City is really heartbreaking. I mean, you've got people who are struggling to get back on their feet after losing their homes - 11 residents and two cats! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿˆ Can't imagine how traumatic that must be for them.

And poor firefighter! ๐Ÿค• Injured during a rescue operation? That's just awful. You'd think we'd have better safety measures in place, but I guess you never know what's gonna happen until it happens.

I do hope the investigation into the cause of the fire turns up some answers soon. Maybe there was an electrical issue or something that could've been prevented with a little more caution. ๐Ÿ’ก Either way, my thoughts are with all those affected - they need our support right now! ๐Ÿค—

Oh man ๐Ÿคฏ... so there's like this house fire in Daly City right? And it was really intense because it started early morning... 8:35 a.m.? That's so early! How does someone even start a fire at that hour?! ๐Ÿ˜• And the worst part is, one resident got smoke inhalation and had to go to the hospital... poor guy ๐Ÿค’. I hope they're okay now.

And can you believe there were two cats involved in this? ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ป Like what are their owners supposed to do? They just get left behind?! That's so sad for them too.

I'm also kinda worried about the firefighters, especially that one who got injured... ๐Ÿ˜”. I hope they're getting the best medical care possible and that they'll be back on the job soon.

This investigation is gonna take a while, huh? Hopefully it finds out what caused the fire and we can all learn from it ๐Ÿค”.

Man, it's just crazy how quickly things can go from calm to chaos at home ๐Ÿšจ. I'm really worried about these 11 people who got displaced - they must be struggling to find new places to live and stuff. And the firefighter getting hurt is no joke too... our emergency responders are putting themselves on the line every day, it's not easy work ๐Ÿ’”.

I do hope the investigation into this fire can get to the bottom of what caused it so we can prevent something like this from happening again ๐Ÿค”. And I'm glad the cats made it out okay - they're an important part of our communities too! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’• It's just a reminder that even in the midst of all this, there are people and animals counting on us to help out.

๐Ÿ˜” This house fire in Daly City is just a harsh reminder of how quickly things can go wrong ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I mean, 8:35 am on Tuesday morning and suddenly you've got flames engulfing a two-story home ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. It's not like the firefighters weren't doing their job; they responded fast, but what they didn't expect was a full-on blaze ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

It's really unfortunate for those 11 residents who lost their homes ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ˜”. And to think that it could've been prevented if something just went right โš ๏ธ. Of course, we can't speculate on the cause of the fire yet, but let's just hope it was an accident and not something more sinister ๐Ÿ˜•.

It's also a shame for the firefighter who got injured during the rescue ๐Ÿค•. It's a tough job, and injuries happen, but that doesn't make it any less concerning ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. All we can do now is wait for the investigation to conclude and hope that everyone involved gets back on their feet ๐Ÿ’ช.

Oh noooo ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ”ฅ my heart goes out to that family!!! I can only imagine how scary it must've been for them ๐Ÿคฏ. The fact that there were 11 people displaced is just heartbreaking, and the two poor cats gotta be freaking out too ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜น. So glad the firefighters were able to put out the flames quickly though - those guys are heroes! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’• I hope both the firefighter with the wounded knee and the resident who got smoke inhalation are on the road to recovery soon ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’จ. Can't wait for the investigation results, but in the meantime, let's all send some positive vibes to this family ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ซ

ugh what a crazy morning for that family ๐Ÿค• smoke inhalation is no joke too bad they have to deal with finding a new place to live now ๐Ÿ“ฆ meanwhile poor firefighter got hurt trying to save people hope everything goes back to normal for them soon ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค” so yeah there's this house fire in Daly City that was pretty intense... one guy got hurt from smoke inhalation which is super concerning. But you know what really gets me is that the firefighter who helped put out the flames ended up getting injured ๐Ÿค•. Like, we should be praising our first responders for putting themselves in harm's way to save others, but then they get hurt too? It's just not right.

And 11 people having to leave their homes due to the fire is a huge bummer ๐Ÿ˜”. I can only imagine how stressful and chaotic it must be for them. The fact that some cats got help from the American Red Cross is nice, though ๐Ÿฑ. But overall, this incident highlights just how unpredictable life can be, even in our own neighborhoods.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is a good step forward ๐Ÿ’ก, but I'm sure it's gonna take some time to figure out what happened and make sure something like this never happens again.

๐Ÿค• just saw that crazy house fire in Daly City and I'm still shaking my head... like how does a fire get so bad that it takes down an entire first floor? ๐Ÿคฏ and 11 people are left without a place to stay? that's crazy, fam ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. can't even imagine the trauma of seeing your home go up in flames like that... anyway, hope the guy who got hurt gets better soon ๐Ÿ‘. btw, how do fires get started? always wondering about that stuff ๐Ÿค”
