Small Business Saturday was a total bust this year 20% decline in spending is a big drop. Consumers are just not feeling it I dunno man... American Express trying hard but it feels like consumers just not gettin it 
They all about savin' a buck and supportin' big box stores instead of puttin money back into their own community 
It's like they forgettin that small businesses the ones that keep neighborhoods alive And with inflation bein so high, I can understand why people wanna save up but at what cost? 
Maybe American Express needs to step it up and offer more incentives than just $100 million in grants 
ugh, feels like americans really dont care about their own community . small biz sat is meant to be a positive thing but it ends up being another reminder that big corps r winning out . 18 billion spent at retailers and restaurants? thats not much considering the decline in sales compared to last year . and dont even get me started on online shopping, its like consumers are more comfortable buying from faceless companies than supporting local folk
