Source: Sixers signing Patrick Baldwin Jr. to 10-day contract

The Philadelphia 76ers are bolstering their depleted roster by adding 23-year-old Patrick Baldwin Jr. to a 10-day contract, according to sources close to the matter. This move comes as the team seeks to fortify its lineup ahead of Thursday's crucial matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

A veteran presence in the league, Baldwin boasts an impressive 95 NBA games under his belt with stints on the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers. Drafted in the first round of the 2022 draft, Baldwin was most recently part of a similar setup with the Clippers last month.

The Sixers' strategy revolves around utilizing some of starting power forward Dominick Barlow's remaining two-way contract availability. With a full roster in place, this becomes a logistical challenge, prompting the team to convert Barlow to a standard deal. However, exhausting his two-way contract before making the switch is a common practice in the NBA.

In addition to Baldwin's signing, the team has also inked Charles Bassey to another 10-day deal, as part of their efforts to round out the roster ahead of Thursday night's game against the Lakers.

So they're trying to fill some gaps with these 10-day contracts? I don't know if it's gonna be enough... I mean, they've got a tough matchup against the Lakers and they're gonna rely on Baldwin and Bassey for now? 🤔 Those guys are young and talented but they'll need to step up their game ASAP. What makes you think they can pull this off? Have they looked at the Lakers' starting lineup? I wonder if Dominick Barlow's contract thing is a good move or not... it seems kinda weird that they're converting his deal now, considering he's been part of the team for a while 🤷‍♂️

omg I'm so stoked about this move!!! 🤩 The Sixers are totally turning it around and adding Patrick Baldwin Jr to the mix is just what they needed! He's got that serious NBA cred with those 95 games under his belt, you know? And drafting him in 2022 was like a masterstroke by the team... I mean, who wouldn't want that talent on their side?! 😍 Now they're gonna crush it against the Lakers and show everyone what they're capable of! Dominick Barlow's gotta step up his game too, he's got two-way contract availability but now he's gonna get some serious playing time... this is like the ultimate NBA shake-up!

yooo what's up with this move? think patrick baldwin jr is gonna be a game changer for those sixers 🤔 they need all the help they can get, especially on that power forward spot. dominick barlow was already doing his part but i guess they wanna give him some more stability now. and signing charles bassey to another 10-day deal? thats just insurance right? they gotta be prepared for anything in this league 🤷‍♂️

omg did u see dat patrick baldwin jr is joining the philly 76ers?? 😱 i think its great move by coach they need some fresh blood on that team lol barlow got 2 more days left on his contract so this gives them some breathing room, but at the same time its kinda weird theyre playing with a depleted roster in the first place 🤔 what happened to all the other players tho?

I'm not really sure why teams feel like they need a bunch of mini-stints with guys on 10-day contracts... it just seems like an extra layer of complication 🤯. I mean, Baldwin has already played some solid ball in his career, but does he really need another chance to prove himself now? And what's up with the Sixers' roster situation - they're basically making everyone play both ways until someone gets hurt or tired out 💪.

And another thing, why not just sign these guys to real deals instead of all the back-and-forth? It's like they're trying to test the waters or something 😒. And now they've got two 10-day deals going on... I'm not sure how that's gonna play out.

I mean, what's going on with the Sixers' front office? They're like trying to hold together a broken net 🤯. One day they're signing veterans, the next they're bringing in youngins like Baldwin Jr. I'm all for giving the youth a chance, but it feels like they're just patching holes instead of building something solid 🔧.

And what's with the two-way contract thing? It sounds like they're playing games to keep the roster balanced 🤔. I get that injuries happen, but can't they just be transparent about their plans? It's like they're trying to outmaneuver the Lakers on the court and in the front office 😏.

Baldwin Jr.'s got some impressive résumé, don't get me wrong 🙌, but it's not like he's going to single-handedly solve all their problems 💪. And what about Bassey? Is that just a Band-Aid fix too? 🤷‍♂️ I guess we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out...

I'm getting so emotional about this move by the Sixers!!! Like, I get it, they need some help on that roster and Patrick Baldwin Jr is like a total game-changer 🤩! The guy's got 95 NBA games under his belt and he's been part of some serious teams too - Golden State, Washington, LA Clippers... what more can you ask for?! 💯

But seriously though, I'm loving the way they're thinking outside the box with this two-way contract thingy... exhaustin' Dominick Barlow's remaining availability is like a genius move 🤓. And now they've got Baldwin and Charles Bassey on 10-day deals, it's like they're setting themselves up for some serious success 💪! I'm totally feeling the hype around this team right now 😍. The Sixers are gonna crush those Lakers and bring home that W 🔥👏

ooh I'm hyped for the Sixers! they're really pulling together now and it's awesome to see them getting some fresh blood on the court 🤩. Patrick Baldwin Jr is gonna be a great addition, he's played with some amazing teams already so i gotta think he'll fit right in 💪. and Charles Bassey too? that's a solid move, they're trying everything now 💥. Thursday's game against the Lakers is gonna be lit 🔥!

omg u guys i cant even believe what just happened with the philly 76ers !! they're literally making moves left and right rn lol what a crazy time for hoops fans 🤯 patrick baldwin jr is coming in on a 10-day deal and idk if it's a genius move or a total Hail Mary but i'm lowkey hyped about it 💥 he's got some serious NBA cred under his belt, especially with those stints on the warriors & clippers 🤓 dominick barlow's getting converted to a standard contract is def an interesting development tho... fingers crossed they can get this roster thing figured out 💪

I'm not sure how excited I am about the Sixers' new signings 🤔. I mean, 23-year-old Patrick Baldwin Jr. is a solid player and all, but is he really worth the hype? He's got some big shoes to fill coming into a team with high expectations... or should I say, high stress 😬? And what's up with these 10-day contracts? It feels like the teams are just trying to patch things together until the regular season starts. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of giving young players a chance, but it feels like they're playing a game of musical chairs out there 🎶. Can we trust that these signings will stick and not just be another temporary fix? Time will tell, I guess!

I'm loving this move by the Sixers! They're definitely gonna need all the help they can get with that depleted roster. I mean, Patrick Baldwin Jr. is a vet player with some serious experience under his belt. 95 NBA games? That's impressive! And to think he's only 23 years old 🤯

I'm also curious about how they're gonna make it work with Dominick Barlow's two-way contract. It's like, don't wanna exhaust that before making the switch, right? But at the same time, it's a smart move since they need all hands on deck for this crucial matchup against the Lakers 🤔.

And yay for Charles Bassey too! He must've done something right to get another 10-day deal 😊. The Sixers are definitely putting in the work to make sure they're ready for Thursday night 👍.
