Steam Deck adds a standby mode for screen-off downloads

OMG, this new update for Steam Deck is like, totally awesome!!! 🤩 I can already imagine how cool it's gonna be to download games while you're just chillin' on the go 😎. No more worrying about your internet speed getting all messed up mid-game match! 💻 It's also super thoughtful of Valve to add that extra layer of safety, asking if you're sure you want to continue downloading when your battery life is low ⚠️. This feature is literally gonna make gaming on the Steam Deck so much more convenient and stress-free 🙌. Can't wait to get my hands on it! 💥

OMG 💥, I'm soooo hyped about this new update for the Steam Deck!!! 🤩 It's like, totally genius! I mean, who doesn't love being able to download games and updates in the background while you're still playing or just chillin' on your bus ride home 😎? No more worrying about your internet slowing down because of a big file download 💔. This display-off low-power mode is literally a game-changer for me (no pun intended 🎮) 'cause I'm always on the go and can't always be sitting at my desk downloading stuff. Plus, it's so safe and controlled - if you're trying to finish up some downloads while your battery's getting low, it'll remind you to switch to full sleep mode instead of letting everything just freeze up 😅. Can't wait for this feature to roll out on the Steam Deck! 🚀

Umm i dont get it... how does this even work? like my steam deck just sits there and downloads stuff while im playing online? what if its a 50gb game update? isnt that gonna drain the battery super fast? 🤔 also, whats to stop hackers from downloading malware or something while we're not looking? its all well and good but i gotta ask, have they even tested this thing out properly? 💻
