Like, maybe a hybrid format that's still a bit longer than the T20s but shorter than the traditional Tests? Or something like a 'Test Lite' that's still got all the key elements but with some tweaks to make it more engaging 🌟.

Day-Night Tests are a mixed bag for me 🤔. On one hand, I love the extra day of rest for players and the faster-paced action can be really entertaining. But on the other hand, it's hard to replicate the same level of intensity and strategy as a five-day Test match 🏏. I think they need to find a happy medium, like maybe 4 days or something? Less is more when it comes to these things. Still, Andy Zaltzman always brings a fresh perspective, so I'm excited to see what he's come up with for this challenge 😊.
 
idk why they even need to make it a daily quiz its just gonna lead to more boredom in test matches 🤷‍♂️ anyway im with michael vaughan on this one 5 day tests all the way cant see shorter formats replacing traditional test cricket

I think its a bit weird how theyre testing us by giving us a whole day to figure it out before we find out what the 'right' answer is 🤔. I mean, dont get me wrong, Ive been looking forward to this segment all series, and Im sure Andy will come up with something interesting. But come on, BBC Sounds, give us some answers already! Its not like its rocket science, but at the same time, I do think its an important question. Shouldnt be too hard to find a good middle ground between traditional 5 days and shorter formats. Maybe they could even try out different lengths in different matches? Just a thought 😊
 
I'm all about adapting formats in cricket 🤔. I mean, 5 days of Test matches just don't hold everyone's attention like they used to. We've got so much more time on our hands now with social media, and cricket needs to stay relevant 📱. A shorter format could be a great way to keep the game fresh, but at the same time, you gotta think about the fans who love the traditional experience of watching a Test match unfold over several days 😴. Maybe they need to tweak it just enough so everyone's happy? Like, what if we did 4 or 5 days with some sort of mid-series 'break' day? That way, you get some rest, and then you're back at it again 👍.

i think the key is to make day-night tests more flexible... like a 4-day test or something, so you can still have the intensity of day-night cricket but also have some breathing room 🤔. five days might feel too long for that format, you know? and what's with all these different formats anyway? test matches are meant to be epic, not condensed into 20/20...

OMG u guys i feel like they're still debating this 5day format its been there for ages 🤔🏏 I mean dont get me wrong test matches r awesome but can we just adapt to the times? like we have t20 & ODI formats now why cant daynight tests be shorter too? 🤷‍♂️ idk maybe a 3 or 4day format would work better? and what about a hybrid format with both day & night tests? 🤯
