The first images from The Legend of Zelda movie are here

First Images of Link and Zelda Revealed: A Glimpse into Nintendo's Epic Film

The wait is finally over, with official images from the upcoming Legend of Zelda film hitting the internet. The movie, set to hit theaters on May 7, 2027, has been shrouded in secrecy until now. Three photos were released by Nintendo, showcasing Link and Zelda in all their glory.

In one photo, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link is seen standing alongside Bo Bragason's Princess Zelda, with the lush landscape of New Zealand serving as a stunning backdrop. The green tunic Link wears seems to be inspired more by his Breath of the Wild attire rather than his Tears of the Kingdom look, leading some fans to speculate about which era of the game they'll be drawing from.

Meanwhile, Zelda is sporting a blue outfit – a departure from the traditional green. This raises questions about the movie's approach to storytelling and how it will balance different eras of the series. It seems unlikely that the film will stick rigidly to one timeline or narrative thread, instead opting for a more fluid approach to bring together elements from various games in the franchise.

The most intriguing image, however, is Zelda herself – armed with a bow and looking ready to take on any moblin that comes her way. The fact that she's not simply a damsel in distress should give fans of the series hope for a more empowered princess. As we eagerly await more details about the film, it's hard not to feel excited for this epic adventure.

The images might be brief, but they're certainly tantalizing – giving us our first glimpse into what promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.

🤔 I'm so underwhelmed by these first pics of Link and Zelda 📸👀. The outfits are super different from the games, kinda weirdos... like who put a blue dress on Zelda? 😒. And don't even get me started on the bow – it's not like she's actually going to use that thing in the movie 🎯😂. I mean, I'm hyped for the film and all, but these pics feel kinda lazy 😴. Can we please just have a full costume reveal already? 🤷‍♂️👗

omg, can't wait to see this movie!!! 🤩 those pics of Link and Zelda are so cool!! i love how Zelda's not just a princess, she's got a bow and looks like she can take care of herself 💪 the fact that they're gonna mix different eras of the game is kinda exciting, it'll be interesting to see how they make it work 🤔 might just get me hyped for the film even more 😎

🎥💡 I'm low-key hyped about this Legend of Zelda movie 🤩! The fact that they're not playing it super safe with the costume choices (I mean, who says Zelda has to wear green all the time? 😂) shows they're willing to take some risks and try something new. And can we talk about how amazing it is to see Link looking like his Breath of the Wild self? That's so on point! 👏 Also, I love that Zelda looks kinda... empowered 🙌... I'm hoping she doesn't get to be stuck in a damsel-in-distress situation at all. Fingers crossed they make her a total boss. Can't wait to see more! 🔥

Meh, nice to see some pics of Link and Zelda finally 📸. I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned reboot of the Legend of Zelda franchise? It's like they're trying to recapture lightning in a bottle, but without actually putting any effort into making it feel original. The whole "inspired by Breath of the Wild" thing is just code for "we couldn't come up with anything new". And what's up with the blue outfit? Did they raid a closet and pick something random 🤔? Can't wait to see how much creative liberty they take with the storyline... I mean, who needs a coherent timeline when you can just mash together different eras? 😐

I'm intrigued by the bold visual choices made in these initial promotional images 🤔. The decision to deviate from traditional attire for both Link and Zelda is a clever move, hinting at a more dynamic approach to storytelling within the film. I speculate that this non-linear narrative strategy will not only appeal to die-hard fans but also attract new audiences who might be unfamiliar with the series.

The image of Zelda wielding a bow and arrow is particularly empowering 🏹. It's refreshing to see her depicted as an active, capable protagonist rather than a passive damsel in distress. I'm curious to see how this will play out on screen and whether it will resonate with fans.

Overall, these images have generated sufficient buzz to get me hyped for the film's release in 2027 🎥. The question remains: will Nintendo's take on the Legend of Zelda franchise be faithful to the source material or will it forge its own unique path? Only time (and the movie itself) will tell 😊.

omg these new pics of Link and Zelda are everything i've been waiting for 🤩🎥 the green tunic is defo breath of the wild vibes though lol maybe the film will go all out with the series' lore? idk about the blue dress tho, hope zelda's still got some serious sass 💁‍♀️ i love that she's armed and ready to take on those moblins 👊 can't wait for more details, this movie is gonna be EPIC 🔥

Ugh, I'm still worried about that Nintendo film 🤯. The whole thing just feels so... commercialized 🤑. They're gonna ruin the series for me. Link's outfit looks like a cheap cosplay outfit 😒 and Zelda's blue dress is just wrong 👗. And don't even get me started on the fact that they're not sticking to one timeline... what if it's all messed up? 🤯 I'm already dreading May 7, 2027 🕰️. Can we just fast forward to a decent sequel instead of this mess? 😩

OMG u guys! 🤩 these pics of Link & Zelda just dropped and i'm SHAKEN 🔥 Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is literally the perfect fit for Link 😎 & Bo Bragason's outfit as Zelda is giving me LIFE 💖 that blue dress tho 👗 i wonder if they'll be exploring different eras or making it all one cohesive timeline 🤔 either way, Zelda looks SO empowered wielding a bow 🔪👩💪 can't wait for more! 🎥 this movie better live up to the hype 🌟

the visuals look straight out of a fantasy novel 📚⚔️ love the blue outfit on zelda though its weird she's all like "got this" and not just a damsel in distress for once 💁‍♀️ hope they go with a more breath of the wild vibe but also don't forget to include some ocarina moments 🎵

I'm so stoked to see Link and Zelda on the big screen! It reminds me of those old animated Zelda cartoons I used to watch as a kid 😊. The new images look super cool, especially that one where Zelda's rocking the bow and looking fierce. I love how she's not just a princess, but a total boss. I'm hoping they'll stick with the Breath of the Wild era for Link, it would be sick to see him in those gear 😎. But at the same time, I'm kinda curious if they'll go with the classic green dress like in Ocarina of Time... my mind is blown just thinking about all the possibilities 🤯

oh my gosh, i'm literally hyped out for this movie 🤩 can't wait to see benjamin evan ainsworth as link and bo bragason as zelda in action - the blue outfit on zelda is kinda cool, not sure about the green tunic though 😐 but overall, it's awesome that they're going for a more fluid approach to storytelling - hope we get some crazy nods to different eras of the game 🎮

🎥👑🔍

so these new pics of link & zelda r out 🤯 and idk wut to think 🤔 benjamin evan ainsworth looks like he's gonna nail the role lol! 👍 but that blue outfit on zelda is lowkey weird 😕 maybe it's supposed 2 b some kinda twist? 🔮

i mean, im all 4r this new movie 🎬 and cant w8 2 c how they bring the game 2 life 🌐👾 but also gotta wonder wut kinda story they'll be tellin 📚 & wether itll stick 2 the games or not 🤔👀

zelda lookin fierce tho 🔥💪 with that bow & all 😎 cant wait 2 c her take on the princess role 💁‍♀️👸 maybe we'll finally get a female hero we can root 4 👏

🤔 you know I've been thinking a lot about identity and representation in gaming and movies lately... and these new Link and Zelda pics got me thinking about how we perceive power and agency in our favorite characters 🌟

I mean, think about it - we've all grown up watching Princess Zelda be the damsel in distress, waiting to be rescued by Link. But what if that's not who she is anymore? What if this new movie is trying to subvert those expectations and show us a more empowered Zelda? That's gotta be really exciting for fans of the series... but also makes me wonder, are we ready for a world where our heroes aren't always so straightforwardly good vs evil?

It's like, what does it mean when our favorite characters start to break free from their traditional roles? Does that make them more relatable or less trustworthy? 🤷‍♀️ I don't know, but I'm definitely here for this cinematic adventure and can't wait to see where the movie takes us... maybe we'll even find some answers along the way 😊

I'm hyped 🤩 for this movie! The fact that Zelda is rocking a blue outfit and looks like she's ready to kick some moblin butt 😎 is a total win in my book. I love how the images aren't super polished, it gives me a vibe of something authentic and true to the franchise.

I can see why they'd want to blend different eras together, maybe mix Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time vibes 🌿🔥? It's gonna be cool to see how they tie everything together. The green tunic on Link is a good touch too, it gives me nostalgic feels 😊.

Can't wait for May 7th, 2027! 🎥💥

omg, can't wait for this movie!!! 🤩 i'm loving the different outfits Link and Zelda are rocking, it's like nintendo is trying to make us guess which game era they're from lol. but seriously, it's awesome to see a more empowered princess zelda, no more damsel in distress for her! 💪 also, new zealand looks stunning as the backdrop, i'm pretty sure the movie is gonna be epic 🌳🎥

I'm so hyped for this movie already 🤩🎥. I've been playing the Zelda games since the N64 era and I gotta say, it's crazy how far the franchise has come. The fact that they're mixing different eras is a great idea - it'll be cool to see how they incorporate elements from all the games into one cohesive story.

I'm also loving the new look for Zelda... she's rocking that blue outfit like a boss 💁‍♀️🔥. I hope they don't make her too vulnerable though, we know that's not exactly her style 😂. The bow and arrow thing is so cool, it's like she's ready to join Link on his quest.

I've got to ask, what do you guys think about the movie's release date? May 7, 2027 feels kinda far away 🕰️. Are we gonna have to wait that long to see these characters come to life on screen?

omg I'm so stoked that these pics are out!! 🤩 it's wild how much detail is already being shared about the film's style and costume choices... i mean, benjamin evan ainsworth as link looks SO good 🤓 but the fact that zelda's outfit is blue instead of green is kinda weird? like, will they be playing with the classic look or taking it in a whole new direction? 🤔 also can't help but think about how this film is gonna tackle all the different eras and storylines... hope they do it justice 🎥👀

omg can you even imagine seeing link and zelda come to life on the big screen? 🤩 i'm so down for a movie that does justice to their iconic characters, especially if it's gonna give zelda some serious agency 🙌 like, we've been waiting for what feels like forever to see a more empowered princess, and i'm hoping this film delivers 💪

i love how the costumes seem to be inspired by different eras of the game series - it's like nintendo is giving us a little sneak peek into which timeline they're gonna explore in the movie 🕰️. but at the same time, i kinda hope they don't get too stuck on one particular story or era... can you imagine if they brought together elements from so many different games? 🤯 it would be like a love letter to fans of the series

anyway, i'm super stoked for this movie - it's gonna be epic, and i need all the zelda vibes in my life 💖
