I'm so bummed about what's going on with Trump and Venezuela

. I mean, you'd think the press would be all over his administration's actions, but instead they're just glossing over it like it's no big deal

. And I get why, some of this stuff sounds super suspicious... the Pentagon's move being framed as a "coup" and an "invasion"... what? That's not how you do diplomacy, man

.
And don't even get me started on Trump himself - dude is just spewing out all these crazy ideas about US dominance in the Western Hemisphere

. It's like, come on, America First isn't exactly a secret agenda

. And I love that some conservative voices are speaking up about this too... it shows there are still people around who care about the consequences of our actions.
But at the same time, I gotta wonder if we're just going to sit back and let the press enable Trump's expansionist plans without any pushback

. It feels like we're stuck in some kind of retro-futuristic nightmare where journalism is basically a spectator sport... which isn't exactly the kind of reporting we need right now

.
